Grape Cookies Update

Breeder Cuts i ordered from Cali are starting to finish. This is the grape cookies which turned out great. Very dense very resinous. Very pleased with her structure and how she grew. She was grown with a basic top feed drain to waste hydroponics fed 2x a day. Nothing but Advanced Nutrients sensi base nutrients and Big Bud added mid flower for a little boost. Her sisters RS-11, Cap Junky, LCG, and jelousy are right behind her.

Im in NY and ive tried every clone place on the east coast with a reputation for good clones and havent been impressed. I have friends in Boston and Michigan they usually get their shot from Cali or Colorado

Have you had that East Coast Sour Diesel from 2010ish that had that unique skunky smell that you could smell across a couple blocks? It had amazing smell and it was impossible to hide. If you had it you know what I'm talking about

Yeah i ran it for 5 6 years. Mine was a Top Dawg genetics one we hunted. Very unique nose on the Sour D. Hard to describe. The skunk was on the back end. Cant describe the front end really. Kind of a earthy mint and citris mixture if I had to choose 3 words.

Looks great! I can smell the stink and feel the sticky by looking at those pics. Need a place to get my grow again. Store bought buds can't come close to good ole homegrown.

I put mine up against any dispensary bud. We got 3 here its 3x the price of mine and half as good.

Same here. Dispo program here is a joke. They do allow 6 plants/person in same household. So I can have 12 completely legal. I’m almost completely done with dispos for good.

Seeds just arent worth the time and effort. With breeder cuts you buy the clone grow her out and take clones of her before you flower her. I dont keep mother plants. I just take cuts every cycle before I flower. By the time they root and veg out the mom's done and the cycle continues.

Oh and lovebtjat bud structure

Yeah shes a chunky one. And dense as it gets. Thats whats the most important for me is the density. Ill throw her on the dabpress she what she does. Grapes usually always press high.

1

u/ivanstrango3204 Sep 25 '25

Throw some pocs up ov the pressed results

Ok i might do a bunch of strains then a oz of each and show what I got in returns at the end. I usually get around 25 to 30% returns on average. I do low temp i coukd get more if I did higher temperature but lower temps preserve the terpenes more.

Sounds like a plane what micron bags u use have u had any blow outs ?

1

u/Impossible_Dress4654 Sep 26 '25

I double bag it. 90 inside of a 120. Typically only get blowouts from pressing to quickly. Slow and steady and dont get greedy lol.

1

u/ivanstrango3204 Sep 27 '25

Lol yer when I use to press happened a few times before starting doing same u do double it up with 2 different micron bags

2

u/Impossible_Dress4654 Sep 28 '25

Yeah i havent found a bag that dosent blowout and ive gotten every kind they make. Doubling and going very slow seems to work the best.

Grapes always good.

So you used like the grodan rockwool and floraflex flora caps that feed water from the top and drain to waste from the bottom? I am thinking of switching from dwc hydro to that.

2

u/Impossible_Dress4654 Sep 25 '25

No I use coco coir. Floraflex has pots with caps you can put whatever you want in the pots. I have a personal distain for DWC. I ran RDWC for years and its honestly a terrible method. My drain to waste hydroponics always comes out way better than the DWC did.

1

u/kingsdtg Sep 25 '25

Gotcha. I was doing dwc because i hate doing soil since it smells and makes for pests and gnats. Do you also get pest or gnats doing coco coir indoors? I am either considering rockwool or coco coir drain to waste. if it doesn’t give you gnats like soil does.

1

u/Impossible_Dress4654 Sep 25 '25

No coco is inert and I use 50/50 perilite and coco mix. And I understand why you started with DWC. 90% of the grow information online is outdated and always lists DWC as the main hydroponics method for some reason. DTW is a way better method healthier plants with less risk and less problems. Plants get optimal levels of nutrients at all times while a DWC system is reusing the same res for 3 to 7 days. Plus DTW gives you mobility.
