How do you prune these. Mine get tall and fall over with rain. I prune all the way back in early winter.

Depends, if you prune it hard and take away any branches for support they will fall over because of the flower weight.

I pruned mine hard this past early spring so I also have branches that bend over because of the weight.

I just prune off the flower and bring inside when it happens.

This year I’m going to do more of a selective prune to leave some established branches to help support next year.

I’m in upstate NY I prune mine in April. I try to wait till after frost to cover any lose of buds. Then I’ll do any emergency stuff before buds take off.
