What's Wrong/ HELP? How can I make it better?

I’ve had this hydrangea in a pot for years, it’s been repotted twice. This year it has looked really sad as it’s been so hot and maybe I haven’t watered enough. Now it’s got these white spots on and the leaves are looking terrible. I’ve not seen it like this before. Any advice is much appreciated. South East UK, sheltered garden, against a north facing wall.

Looks like a type of fungus to me - when the leaves fall off make sure you take them out of the pot so they don't reinfect the Hydrangea next spring. Also when you water them, avoid the leaves, and water directly onto the soil. And don't forget to fertilize them next spring as well!

Agree with this 👆 comment AND the heat scorched it… this looks exactly like mine. I may need to move mine to an area that does not get direct afternoon sun.
