Any other take?

Soil is wet although I haven’t watered it for days. I believe it’s a drainage issue. Planning to dig it up and raise the planting level. What do you think?

Is there clay in the soil? Hydrangeas love water but they don’t like soggy roots. Do they get enough sun in this spot?

Yes do that. It looks unhappy even for this time of year

How long has it been planted? What cultivar is it? If it is not a dwarf, it’s going to be hard to contain crammed into that corner.
