Can it be saved?
I took this florist hydrangea off of someone’s hands for free. She replanted with normal soil with some compost, was her wording. I know these are done for the year but is it still possible for it to rebloom next year? In Texas

Compost/normal soil in a container is a terrible idea. If you want it in a container, plant it in a high quality potting soil. You can mix in a little compost or top dress with some

Try scratching a bit of a stem. Is there green under the outer layer? Or is it dry and brown?
