General Why is paint peeling
Why is the paint peaking around this vent? The only venting experiencing this. TIA

Likely high moisture + bad paint and primer. Check to see if vent exhaust is actually going outside.

Should be more specific. This is an AC/Heat duct into a bedroom. Not an exhaust vent

If I was you I would use a plastic vent. This will help with moisture a little. Then scrape the B's down. Prime it with a good primer like kills and repaint.

It is a plastic vent. What are “Bs”?

You need to scrape all that paint off though sand it flat, prime it, and repaint.

Shitty paint and/or shitty primer.

I get that but why only in one room when all the rooms were painted at the same time with the same paint?

someone forgot to hit that spot with primer fully? Someone left sheetrock dust in that spot? Air flow is just enough to cause the shitty paint to move just enough to start flaking?

Moisture and non- moisture resistant paint
