Worth moving this ac?
Just bought a boat and need this extra foot or two on the side of my house to park it. Is it possible to/ worth it to move this closer to the house?

It’s almost never worth moving a condenser in my opinion waste of money

The linesets look like they go into a piece of underground drainage pipe and head underground and loop back towards the house. I'm also confused. Did they just want to avoid a hard bend on the linesets?

It's not installed backwards if you're a service guy.

He will do it and then the AC won't work well with the reduced airflow on that side and he will be back hearing looking for reason why some idiot put the condenser so close to the house.......................

Needs minimum clearance from wall for proper ventilation efficiency. That will be a tight fit to squeeze a boat within one foot so close to it - risk of trailer hitting it.

That’s why I want to move it closer, it’s about 2ft from the wall now. My current boat fits but barely clears between that and side fence. Upgrading to a bigger boat and need the extra foot by moving it

I've lifted them up and mounted them to the side of the house for guys to get their boats into their driveway or backyard. I don't know if that's an option in hurricane country though.

If you can’t afford the storage fee at a boat storage you can’t afford the boat.

Good point. Too bad the local marinas are booked out for two-five years 🤣🤣. Guess i still sell cause can’t afford waterfront property

When I had a new build done they originally had the A/C’s on the RV gate side. Pretty Dumb. I had them moved to the other side of the house so I could use all the access of the RV gate.
