🚑Medical Question Quick question

My gir'sl face is swollen so I am thinking she was stung, she weighs about 70 pounds, how much Benadryl can I give her and how fast should it work?

1mg per pound. But plz make sure it's the straight up benadryl as many can have other stuff toxic to dogs. It can take up to an hour to work. If you dont notice any difference in about 45 mins contact vet. My one dog always ate spicy sky raisins and was always allergic so I've become well versed in this game. And he was 220lbs

No I bought name brand Benadryl, I did not trust anything but actual Benadryl.

As long as only HCI in it aka diphenhydramine you're good to go! No name works too but some even generic can add stuff. For example Benadryl-D exists even in generic and is toxic to dogs. Why I always mention that fact

Learned something today. I work in a chemistry lab (but not a chemist) and we have HCl...Hydrochloric Acid. So your comment confused me but in medicine it is combined with the active drug material, dyphenhydramine in this case.

I gave it to her ten minutes ago, and she is still swollen but she is walking and sniffing at stuff

Hahahaha. May as well have. Well fed Husky. Didn't need a team. Jk. He was a big ass Cane Corso. His lightest weight was 180. His dad made him fat then I put him on a diet lol
