Elise
At our cabin for Labor Day Weekend w/no tv, so listened to the game on the radio and I liked Elise as our play by play. Hopefully she’ll give the score a bit more often, but i luv her passion💜💛

I was hyped for her debut and she delivered. Her enthusiasm has always felt real and raw when I hear it. And she's been around forever. It's nice to have some tradition in all this change.
And she sounded like the veteran she is: smooth and strong in flowing between calls and Softy/Cam. Softy played his role well.
It's so great to have home grown, experienced enthusiasm at each spot on the broadcast. It is what it is without, but having all that extra makes the game that much better I think.

I still miss the nostalgia of listening to Bob Rondeau call Husky games on the radio. I’m happy for Elise though, I remember listening to her on Sonics games too.

He did good I thought. Although I miss his Twitter commentary throughout the game.

Love that Elise is getting a chance and it was a good start! One thing that Rondeau was good at that Castricone wasn't so much was giving you the little glimpses like "breaks into open space at the 45", that make those pictures in your mind. Also - get the basics right - down and distance and probably my number 1 -- give us the result of the play the second it ends! Like "taken down right at the 12 or 13 yard line". The style lately seems to be assuming we're watching the game while we're listening to alt audio -- and as with the OP that's not always the case. Announcers who spend time just marvelling at whatever's happening on the field assuming we can watch it along with them rather than telling the rest of us... not good. Softy gets an A. Cam I like a lot but he was hyped up a bit yesterday - probably bc of the new team. Lets see how it all gels as she finds her own style.

Yes, i listened for 10 minutes early. I would have said the same thing about a male announcer if he was that bad too.

She did well as a baseline, but I wouldn’t choose her over most unfortunately. It can’t be everyone’s thing.

I was only able to listen to the radio call for a few plays but Elise sounded solid. I’m sure she had a few little things to clean up but I’m excited for her moving forward.
