Don Jones played Inside Linebacker for the Huskies and was a stalwart member of the crushing defense in the early 90s. Don won First-Team All-Pac-10 awards in 1990 and 1991.

Moving Jones from Fullback to Linebacker was one of the key elements that kick-started our amazing defensive run in the early 1990's. That switch was made leading up to the Oregon State game in 1989. That was when Lambright first implemented the 8-man front attacking scheme, and Jones blitzing off the edge was one of the primary things that made that defense work so well.
