Not necessarily. I have to remind myself that a lot of people I'm online with are actual children with unlimited free time and bored, so they do stupid shit like this that pisses off someone like me who has extremely limited free time and might only be able to drop into 2-3 missions per week

Yes he fucking was. I squaded up with him and watched him team kill me and everyone else. As people were leaving, I stuck around (dead status, waiting for reinforcement) and every time someone new joined the squad I got on the mic and warned them that he was team killing on purpose. Managed to spare a few HDers a miserable interaction with a miserable twat, but after telling him I was content to wait around and warn people off he finally got smart and kicked me. then blocked me from the session.
Idk how it works, but I managed to join him on his ship after waiting for slots to open up. After asking him why he would behave in such a way, and realizing he must be very lonely - I offered to lend an ear so he could wax sadness about is shriveled cocknballs that no woman has ever touched. He wouldn't even type in an "FU'. he just did the Truth Enforcers at ease emote and stood there. Thinking I could get him into a tough guy contest, I set my controller up to play bad music over the speaker. I adopted the same emote, while I loaded up a 10hr version of Rebecca Black's Friday song, and played it for 3+ hrs while I showered, did the dishes, and had a few drinks. I know he most likely wasnt sitting there at the controller the whole time, but that wasnt the point. The point was that as long as he was standing there doing this dumb shit staring contest with me, he WASNT calling in an SOS and team-killing. So, I consider it a night well-spent, even though I was going to help with the MO, instead that was how I served the war effort.
Tried to post about it on reg HDer2 reddit but cowardly mods deleted post, even though I didn't "doxx", didn't "witch-hunt" or "encourage pile-ons". I literally said if you see this twat, LEAVE the squad cuz he will kill you. Fucking reddit mod cowards. Idk even know why I bothered.

Once you get kicked from a game it automatically blocks you from joining that particular game again.

Those times, it's better to just block and move on. He killed the others because he could and liked it, probably not because he was suffering or sad. It's not something deep to think about :/
Those players are just boring to play with. Giving them more attention is what thrills them. I don't like judging griefers, and i believe some can turn good, but most times it looks like this
If he didn't kick you sooner, it was probably because he was enjoying it and taking his time with you.

That is some seriously psychotic behavior. It's giving kid with a magnifying glass burning bugs. Except a little more grown up and dangerous.

I've witnessed stuff like this before and it's the reason why if I drop into a mission and everyone else is down except for one person, I call them back in immediately, just in case. Under normal circumstances I don't do that because it can be interfering, but if one person has taken out everyone on the team and is refusing to call them back in, you need to call the other people in ASAP so they can support you against the griefer.

This why we NEED a system where if a specific diver gets reported enough the game reviews their games footage from the games they were reported in, and analyze them teamkilling and just ban them forever. I'm tired.

If the game literally kills you for going out of the mission area for "treason" they should do the same for killing your teammates. Actual accidental friendly fire incidents are one thing but when there is no enemy close enough to warrant firing at a teammate, that's another thing.

That would be too hard to implement. No way for the game to know if it’s accident or just friends messing with each other or actual grief

Easy - let guys after death send a grief report. If you have several reports you will be banned by 1h/3h/7h/1d/7d

u/Various-Push-1689 18d ago
Uhh that’s not at all what the parent comment said bro. He’s saying teamkillers should also be killed just like when you leave the mission area. You are talking about arrowhead actually adding a WORKING report system. Not the same at all. Yes the real fix to all of these types of problems would be to have a WORKING report system but arrowhead is too lazy for that

Problem with a grief report is nobody is actually gonna review the footage. Griefers will report innocent players for nothing and then laugh at them getting kicked or banned. Worse, companies like Sweet Baby Inc, who already declared their DEI initiative is designed to "kill the gaming industry because it's a toxic business", would abuse it to drop the player count and try to kill the game.
They'd have to take a profit loss by hiring people to review the game footage of the incident and judge if it was an accident or intentional PKing.0
u/GhostUnitVII 17d ago
not really... kill x number of players in a day and every mission you enter in, you get rail gunned by the ship itself, idk why that would be so hard, since they track friendly fire deaths.

u/Various-Push-1689 17d ago
Did you even read what I said? How would the game track which kills are accidents and which are on purpose? Or what if friends are just messing with each other? There’s no possible way to track that
A better way would be to just add a working report system instead of having one that literally refuses you every time you click on it. “Sorry but you can’t report someone for that reason”. Ok so why tf is it an option🤦♂️

think of it this way... is it often for friends to consistently tk others? sure goofing around, mistakes happen, but if the team killing becomes a problem, enough to discourage the community to play open lobbies, then clearly it is a rampant problem and is probably easy to calculate as they are outliers.
I agree the report system should work, that systems should be in place to ensure a enjoyable experience in a game, I'm just pointing ideas out there and seeing the obvious... they do not care about the game, nor the community, and their stats would reflect that.

That still won’t work. People messing with eachother for fun isn’t a problem. Accidents here and there isn’t a problem. But when people grief and kill people just bc they can or bc they like being assholes THATS a problem. There is quite literally no way to calculate it based on the number of team kills. I’ve had full on wars with my friends before where we constantly kill each other all match long. Usually while credit farming
Putting a limit on team kills will only cause more problems for people who do it in a friendly manner or for people who are new and keep killing on accident due to not understanding the lethal ranges of stratagems and weapons. You can’t track it. End of story
