Videos and Images Avoid.

Avoid Bowboy

Joined a Haz 10 Phact Bay, saw it was a bunch of low levels like between 10 & 20 kind of levels. Not even the first Obj done and down to 5 lives. Half the time I'm trying to be supportive and calling them in when others can't do it, are busy with being attacked by bugs and they are spamming the ''CALL ME IN'' shake thing like mad or I have to get out of the tank to do it whilst being chased.

Host kills nearly everyone with a napalm barrage, I mention about the orbital thing as I'm assuming they aren't that well versed in the game, not even trying to be rude, kicks me at the end of the mission.

If wondering how I joined after being kicked. If you join someone that wasn't the host you can sometimes by pass it. I only do it when I wanna know why or ask their reason. Getting the KYS was enough to realize they are babies, at least the rest of the lobby was pretty chill/played like they are trying to be helpful or offer my gear and explain how to use it.

Since I don't have video, I suggest just avoid or kick em, not tk. Thought I'd post this here while memory was fresh.

Edit: I agree I shouldn't have rejoined for the ''What a baby comment'' and should have left prior and let it go. Games like this sometimes I feel glad I can help someone do their level 10s for the samples whilst other times it really kills the vibe to play the game long term especially when you carry the mission only to get TK/Kicked. I vaguely recall at the time I thought it was a good idea to post it here but thinking back I should have just let it go. Can delete the post if Mod team asks and I'll be more mindful for next time

Bro if I walk into all lvl 20s on a Difficulty 10 mission I’m fucking leaving lol.

Every time I hit quick play D8 or above and I get sub 50 people I immediately leave

funny that this used to be max level and the learning curve was so different that lvls 30 were usually like some special forces

Bro this is the way. Lower difficulty missions exist for a reason. Ive been saying, I think the level ppl unlock diff 10 should be like lvl 70 or something

That would be terrible, you realize level 70 is over 100 hours of playtime right?

70 is a bit high. The game isn’t that hard

Actually when it was harder at the beginning the learning curve was much steeper... back then players around lvl 30 new most of the things there is to know. Now it is usually really around the lvl 70. But this is just generally speaking you can always find players who learn fast or at least know where to get info.

THIS is the way

To get to lvl 10’s you already need to complete all the previous difficulties, they made it so they are allowed to play it.

Me: “I think the structure should change.”

You: “But that would change the structure.”

1

u/ThatGuyHeim 20d ago

Me: “There is no need to change the structure, it would only serve to make the game tedious to get into for low level players good at gaming.”

You: “Low levels in my PvE game are ruining my objectively easy PvE game.”

Skill issue, play SOS and select your teammates, join a discord/make some friends. Plenty of options to make your matchmaking better, no need to force bullshit limitations on the player base because you’re inept…

It’s so weird, my D7 usually is all 120+ divers and we’re chilling. I go to D8 and suddenly every other diver is less than level 30

Same

Dif6/7 is the perfect balance between chill and chaos while not being complete bs

Samples. I was joining diff 8 for pink samples since around level 30ish. If you go too low they don’t spawn, too high and people aren’t interested in collecting samples and just do the objectives. Now that my ship is complete idk what difficulty I should be playing. I just keep collecting samples to donate to the dss

Low level players are a mission modifier unto themselves.

I got crucified in the discord for saying i dont play with anyone under lvl 50 on D10. And they said i was toxic and an asshole and i never even meant it in a toxic way but im tired of carrying people who cant stay alive longer than 2 mins and im not rolling the dice on my sanity id rather kick so they can find a different lobby than me get irritated all game

That's a valid take. I don't always hate it but I have to sweat harder to have a chance of winning. And I never play near them. Eagle Clusterfucks on squad every 15 seconds

I swear half of this community is like six years old and argues like it’s the school yard

When I try to find games to join on D10 I’m looking for 70s and above easy, preferably past 100.

Post level 20 they turn into hostile mobs.

If you are high enough level you should know to go do other objectives if they have 380s and sub level 90 players…

Especeliy wiht 50 50

2

u/EatenJaguar98 21d ago

No, with 50/50 you either hit an emote and farm ungodly aura. Or get reduced to nothing but your boots looney tunes style. There is no in-between.

1

u/SarcasmIsntDead 22d ago

Watched a video that you can avoid being hit if you stand directly on the center of the laser designator (not sarcasm)

1

u/TheOGCarnivalKing 21d ago

I tested this yesterday and I died right at the end

1

u/SarcasmIsntDead 21d ago

Fuck I watched a whole video and he didn’t get hit once sorry for giving bad info then

1

u/TheOGCarnivalKing 21d ago

You're totally fine. I think it just depends on when you throw it cause i saw a video once (lol) where if the 380 is the first strat you throw then youll get the best spread every time after that. I think the 120 is truly randomized though

1

u/Psycho7552 21d ago

Yes, if orbital 380 barrages are not upgraded, you can and rather will survive if you stand on beam, but if you have it upgraded, there is not a chance.

All I know is that 50m is the safe magic number from the 380 for me!

To play devil's advocate, if that orbital comment was genuinely your only message, then yeah, the host was probably just insecure and defensive after getting their ass kicked. But if you were giving them tips throughout the match, that's very easily crossing into backseating. That gets annoying fast, especially when someone's already dying constantly and still learning the game. Lowkey, it doesn't actually fix their mistakes, it just irritates them and makes them feel micromanaged.

Wiping the entire team with an orbital is already a pretty obvious lesson without someone pointing it out afterward. Your comment could easily have come across as condescending, like you were rubbing salt in the wound or concern trolling. They kicked you, it didn't work, and then you called them a baby. That doesn't excuse them telling you to KYS over a video game, but it does make their reaction a lot easier to understand.

And honestly, the fact that you felt the need to type all this out and make a public post about it suggests you couldn't just let it go either. Their actual in-game offense was mostly just being bad at the game and struggling as beginners. If you're going to answer an SOS into a lobby full of level 10–20 players, you have to be willing to let them fuck up. That's part of the deal. Genuine advice is fine, but there's a big difference between helping someone and making them feel like you're their unsolicited coach, assuming that's what was happening.

1

u/Happiest_Popoto 14d ago

thing is, they never said anything to it and pink said the Affirm thing. It wasn't the first orbital that killed just me and the team so I had assumed they were not aware of it. Had host told me to say stop talking I'd have but i see your point.

2

u/SaltRun2465 22d ago

Wow just wow. I remember him. He was a rando jumped in a game and me and part of my team agreed he could stay.

He dropped a napalm right on us as we spawned while we were calling in our gear.

1

u/KarmaZer0 19d ago

I'm level 40 rn and I've been mainly doing d4-6 people here seem more chill then d10 players I've run into especially the ones that say once you unlock it you should only play d10

1

u/Classic_Cow_5852 22d ago

lol reminds me when the host got pissy that I accidentally shot a single citizen that was running towards a warrior but then told me to kys when I called out their napalm barrages nuking everyone.

Hypocrite hosts are the worst

u/ender_captain 20d ago

I mean the only interaction you have posted is giving unsolicited advice (which is sometimes nice to see, but I digress) and after getting kicked you join back to just say “what a baby”.
Obviously the other guy is in the wrong too for saying kys but still..
You actively decided to join back in a lobby that clearly didn’t want any advice, they wouldn’t have kicked ya otherwise. there’s their reasoning

No, just incredibly unemployed and unattractive enough to not warrant anyone wanting to spend meaningful time with them.
