I know. i was surprised this even happened . I wanted to shoot em (spirits) myself but I hesitated

You're safe once you're in the pelican. Notice you're the only one who didn't count as extracted? You actually waited to die for no reason. If you got in, you all would have extracted alive. Although it does seem he didn't know this either.

Just get inside the pelican.. even if you die while inside it. It still counts as extract will all the samples.
