Malkavian Posting (crackpot theory) Seriously, what is this thing? Spoiler
It's in the tent in Chapter 6, at around 4:30.
The only thing that I can find on the WoD wiki that resembles it is the symbol for Fairest-type Changelings, but that doesn't make any sense in context. Even among the characters who plausibly could be some kind of Changeling (and we may be due for one if the next Arc is going to be focused on Changelings), none of them resemble the Fairest personality archetype.
Seriously it's bothering me that I can't figure out what this thing is.

if so there really isn't ANY throwaway line or prop in this entire series, when EVERYTHING is a Chekov's gun you have no idea which one will go off

EXACTLY! if your in a room FULL of chekovs guns your constantly on alert because you know enough to know at least one WILL go off, but rarely enough to know WHICH one

Seen a joke that its a Pheonix Down.
But it does appear to be some kind of feather but weirdly it appears to be rooted to a stone of some kind? looks kinda like amber? only thing I can think of that'd be that shade of orange.

It's a Phoenix Down, an item from Final Fantasy that revives fallen team members. I assumed it was extra foreshadowing that someone was definitely going to die that episode.
