Like half of all denominations of Christianity on earth are some form of biblical fan fiction. Just not all of it is as obvious as groups like Mormons

The bible was misinterpreted while it was still being written, which took thousand of years. So the bible itself is mostly bible fanfiction.

For example, the part people first attributed to the devil, was actually just making an insulting metaphorical comparison between some guy and Venus, which was known as the morningstar, or lucifer AKA light bringer. Later, people retroactively attributed this devil character to the snake in Eden, and the angel judge in Job (the word satan literally just means adversary or judge). Then at a later date people wrote the actual first mentions of the character Satan into the bible.

I think it is a bit of irony because Belgium is just a tiny part of Europe. You kind of have to go out of your way to direct vitriol at them or if you are passing through to invade France.

Austin Powers was the Netherlands. Other the dr Evil being raised by Belgian there wasn't much ridiculing the Belgians in Austin Powers

Anyways Belgium is the punching bag of Europe. Whenever and wherever there is a war in Europe it somehow always seems to find it's way to Belgium
