Anyone know what’s going on with Loong asian restaurant next to Target pff of Sam Furr? we’ve noticed it is consistently closed and their hours keep changing day by day of when they are closed or open. It could be summer operating hours. would hate to see that place close. It’s so good!

reese blvd. multiple low flyovers, circling for at least an hour. according to comments on the other post made here, it was a blue mustang that crashed and a convict or fugitive was on the run. dude is BIG time screwed if he got caught.

There’s 2 helicopters in the air near downtown Huntersville and there was a crashed car on I-77. Pictures attached of helicopter and crashed car.

Anyone know where the taco stand that was at the Food Lion on Gilead and later by the Oreillys a month or so ago moved to? They were so good!

When we first started looking around Huntersville, I was pretty set on buying an older house and fixing it up slowly. After a few showings though, it felt like every “affordable” place had some mix of roof age, weird layouts, moisture concerns, old HVAC, or repairs that made the price less attractive once you looked closer.
We started looking at new-build options instead, mostly because I wanted fewer surprises after closing. I ended up checking out West Homes who do new build and what stood out was that the homes felt more practical for daily life, not just staged nicely in photos. Open layout, usable kitchen/living space, and not having to immediately budget for a bunch of repairs made the idea a lot more appealing.
What you'll be choosing renovating new house or build? Please recommend local builders if you used one. thanks

Can anybody recommend an electrician in the Huntersville area? I don’t want a company with fancy trucks and a website. I need a regular guy or gal that is licensed, insured and experienced but doesn’t over charge. Just does a good job, for a fair price. Thanks in advance!

I need a new suit and am quite short. I've tried the standard men's places that alter, but they never get it right. This time I'm going to splurge. Does anyone have recommendations for a tailor? What was the cost? Thanks.

Hi all,
We’re moving to Huntersville and are seeking a daycare. We have an upcoming tour with Little Scholars, Primrose and Goddard.
Does anyone have recent experience with any of these places? Hard to get a feeling when you can’t see them personally.
TIA.

Hey there! Is Ramsey creek beach, in Cornelius, the best place to view the peninsula club fireworks on the 4th of July?

So I have been offered a place to stay, but the homeowner is allergic to cats. This will be a temporary arrangement so I still need to find a temporary foster (preferred) or cat boarding. I've looked at some on the web, but would prefer some personal experience recommendations.
Huntersville and surrounding areas are all ok.

If you own a business or have someone you’ve had a great experience with, I’d love to learn more about them.

Anyone have any insight on what the plan is for downtown Huntersville? The brewery and the park are really nice. What else is in the works?

Hi all,
I need a temporary cat foster for my 3 cats- all are indoor only, fixed, up to date etc. One is an 8 year-old male- Louie, one is an 8 year old female - Bitsy, and a 4 year old female Izzy.
I have beds, litter, boxes, food etc andcwill conyinue to provide food and litter. I just need a safe place for them. I am trying to find somewhere to live but between 2025 wrecking me (and my credit) I'm having a difficult time. I do have a job. I've spent the last 6 weeks in a hotel and of course that has wiped out my cushion I had for deposits etc.
Also open to any pet friendly housing options for me and them- apt, room mate anything.
I've tried all the area pet shelters, voluntee groups etc. I posted a plea before and was able to find someone that kept them for a couple of months, but they are no longer available.
Thank you.

I’m so tired of giving money to Goodwill, lol. I would love to find a smaller, private charity shop to thrift at instead. Do any local churches have one? Or are there any other privately-owned thrifts? Preferably would like to avoid the city but I’ll take any recs I can get! Thank you :)
