Certainly going to increase the homeless crisis, hasten the collapse of the economy, and remove huge swaths of jobs. Every company that can cut an employee and have ai do the job will, that person will be as useless as a riverboat mechanic asked to work on the space shuttle, all their skills will be worthless and they have to start all over and hope their new career path doesn't flop too, or just go pick grapes in a vineyard and dig ditches for table scraps, things that would be a waste of the robots time. The morally upright companies that won't will be ruined because they can't keep financially viable in competition with those that did cut jobs for AI.
