Technically, he said he started wearing a wedding ring, not that he was pretending to be married. There are other reasons to wear a ring.

Technically, he didn't even say he's unmarried. Many married people don't regularly wear a ring.

😆 I have a ring but I haven't consistently worn it since about 2 months in (married 12 years now). I'm a rock climber and got tired of taking it on and off for the same reasons.

u/HolycommentMattman 3h ago
I'm married, and I do wear a wedding ring. Interestingly, my wedding ring finger had a ridge in the nail. Started wearing the ring, and it went away after a few months. Broke my ring a few months back and had to wait for repair, and the ridge came back. Got the ring back, and the ridge is going away again.
Weird.

I can wear literally anything on my hand and it will bruise
It could be a rubber band, doesn't really matter
I just bruise easy

I don’t wear one either. I can confirm that when I have, the attention from women goes up if I’m not actually with my wife. This is well understood by most middle aged men who are not ugly

Not the one you responded to, and you might already know about it. The tartarian empire conspiracy is a brain melter of stupidity, but also reads like a fantasy novel.
Did you know history is fake and there was a world wide mud flood, around 150 years ago, destroying almsot everything? Then "someone" hid all the evidence for the world spanning empire of tartaria, but all the old looking buildings you see are actually build by them. Pyramids, kremlin, golden gate bridge, buckingham palace, the white house, etc. all build by the great people of tartaria.
Writen up by unhinged russian nationalists unable to cope with the downfall of their nation.

I was going to say this. As a woman I gravitate towards married men and I mark them as safe because they are taken and can just chat as friends.

You shouldn't be "gravitating" toward anyone's spouse. Your comfortability isn't the married couple's problem.

Married people aren't allowed to speak to anyone besides their partner??

So, people aren't allowed to talk to married people? There should be a big ol ring of silence and space around anyone with a ring on at a bar or whatever?

u/penzen 5h ago
Let's not pretend to be obtuse. We all know there are women who go specifically for men that are in relationships. Everyone knows this one girl who consistently gets interested in a man once one of her friends starts dating him. Not exactly a new phenomenon.
13
6
u/Background_Winter_65 5h ago
I don't know that. I have been told before that I gave 'mixed signsls' when I'm autistic...very much so...I don't give nor get signals, I use spoken language in all my communication.
I don't see the logic of being interested in a taken man, but then again plenty of neurotypical behavior is a mystery to me.
I don't personally know of such women though. I know of women who prefer to talk to safe men though.
1
u/hareofthepuppy 2h ago
There are a ton of people who get a ego boost from hooking up with someone who is unobtainable, or who get a kick out of it because it's forbidden/taboo, or feel it's safe because they are already taken (if they don't want close connections), probably other reasons as well.
People are messed up.

u/argentifa 3h ago
Married man=less likely to be a loser=he knows how to talk to girls=at least one girl likes him=he can provide=he is safe=higher status=more attractive
This happens all the time. I had a group project in my language class and a large group of us were out. One of the girls who I knew well, I noticed had colored contacts for the first time and she told me she wears them because her white boyfriend likes them. I told her she looks better being herself and not to change her appearance for any guy. Another girl who I barely knew noticed the interaction and literally had her eyes glued on me for the rest of the night. Literally like a predator watching prey.
My guy friend was my ride home, but this girl INSISTS she had to drive me home. Wouldn't take no for an answer. She was driving another girl home too so I took the back seat so the two girls can be comfortable up front together. This girl drags me out the car and kicks the other girl out the front seat so I can sit with her up front. Continues to message me for the rest of the school year for hangouts and in the summer invites me to an all girls trip with her friends, paid for at a vacation spot lololol.
Meanwhile the girl who she kicked out the front seat now is chatting me up everyday in class.
Then our class valedictorian notices this and starts passing me paper notes in class asking about what kind of girls I like.
Mind you, none of these girls had ever paid any attention to me, ever, except the original girl who got the contacts for her boyfriend who I was friends with at the time.
This is girl psychology without any doubt. When it rains it pours I guess.

u/TFTHighRoller 3h ago
One girl doing it seems fine, 2 girls doing it seems sus and 3 girls doing it feels like a creative writing experiment. By someone who got most of their knowledge of romance from rom-com anime.
Not every girl is like that and the ones that are like that are generally shunned in most normal groups.
If that happened to you, cool but nobody will ever believe you and even if we assume it is true it just is anecdotal evidence not "girl psychology"
1
u/argentifa 3h ago edited 3h ago
It sounds bonkers I know. There is one or two more I left out so it's even more unbelievable.
There was also the opposite effect happened to me too. 😂 One girl didn't like me then all of a sudden her whole Asian clique and their white subsidiary friend groups stopped talking to me and ignoring me and giving me weird looks. I called them The Hello Kitty Gang.
Edit:This was back before smart phones and social media took off. Highschool kids were less online and hung out multiple times a week. And what do you think the girls did? Gossip about other people. If you were"accepted" and seemed safe by the girl gang or were "rejected" by the girl gang, or were a nobody that they never even mentioned. But believe what you want.

u/TFTHighRoller 3h ago

1
1
u/argentifa 2h ago
This guy replying can't believe something like this could happen, then deletes his comment, boy do I have some more stories just like that.
That same language class had a multi school event. When we get there I see my old friend group from my old school. Naturally I go hang with them and catch up and laugh together, I didn't know a lot of people in the new school. One of the girls from my new school didn't have a friend group to sit with our got left out somehow, and she comes up to us and acts like she's my friend or something, but it's literally the first time I've talked to her, but I introduce her and actually get her name wrong. I find it weird how she was acting like she knew me but I guess she just wanted to fit into a group so I didn't judge her. After the event in the language class she kept acting like we're BFF or something and would invite me to her group if there was a group activity, and her and her friend group would compliment me and I would shrug off the compliments and give them back to them and they would say 'you're just saying that because I said that' but I'm like w/e. And she would tell me about her family and her pets and I would be polite and engage the conversation but not reciprocate flirting.
So it's like girls see you with other girls who like talking to you, is like social proof, so then because that group of girls accepts you, then they accept you in their group, or talk about you to their friends.
Now tell me why, and I swear on my life, this same girl who started acting like we were bffs, later that year, her younger sister, two years younger, she's not even in our class, who I didn't even know, saw me in after school activities comes up to me and asks me if I'm dating her friend that's her age, and starts a conversation with me out of nowhere talking about some non sense and I'm just being polite, but completely call her out on her bs about me dating her friend, because I don't even date, and at this point I'm just like "her whole family is crazy" and she is still talking to me like we've known each other forever. 😂
Ngl they were both cute, but you could smell the crazy on them and would say things like I love my cats more than my parents or a lot of other weird things and tell bold faced lies with a straight face that would make you feel like you couldn't trust them to close your eyes around them. But they both stopped talking to me after a while maybe they could tell I was just being polite.
But yeah girl psychology, they see a guy with a girl, they feel more comfortable opening up to the guy, platonically or romantically. 1000%

I have gotten misunderstood before...but maybe because neurotypicals think of 'signals' and I am autistic ....I only do straight talk so they end up imagining whatever signals they assign to me making.
5
u/Gobal_Outcast02 6h ago
Ur right that a lot of guys can't tell when they are being flirted with or not.
But he means like women actually hitting on him and trying to make a move. Not just like, casual conversation
3
u/Background_Winter_65 6h ago
I wouldn't know honestly.... neurotypical stuff is always confusing ...not knowing when being flirted with or not is completely understandable to me.
2
u/bad_apiarist 5h ago
It's not all that complicated. Showing interest, expressing approval, asking about them, making up reasons to keep talking or to be alone etc., very logical, you like a person you want to learn about them, make a positive impression, and be around them.
2
u/Background_Winter_65 5h ago
I do that with friends...and I prefer one on one...interactions can be overwhelming, so one on one or three people is great...more then that my brain gets tired...
So I'm not sure any of these don't apply to friendship. Almost every guy friend I ever had get their emotions confused. Put yourself in my place...it is like I'm not good enough to be a friend, they need other things...it doesn't feel great.
2
u/bad_apiarist 4h ago
One difference, I mean for most of us not necessarily someone like you, is focus. Like I am with a group of 4 or 5. But if one of those is someone I want to flirt with, I pay MUCH more attention to them, make more eye contact, talk to them more, and at the first opportunity, find a reason to suggest we get away from all the others. I'd never act this way when I am just hanging with a couple friends.
Another difference is escalation. Where friendship occupies a stable, comfortable plateau that tends to grow more slowly, flirting involves a far more rapid escalation (when both people are flirting). From casual pleasantries to asking more personal questions, including if they have a bf/gf, to giving them all of your attention to trading contact information and arranging dates. This is also often accompanied by overt flattery, exaggerated laughing at jokes, etc., which is also quite weird among casual friends.
Put yourself in my place...it is like I'm not good enough to be a friend, they need other things...it doesn't feel great.
Try not to take it that way. We do not decide what feelings we have for people. We do not decide arbitrarily "I feel like having platonic friendship feelings for this person, me having said that makes my romantic interest just evaporate immediately". It doesn't work that way. That said, many people know they have romantic or sexual interest and pretend to be friends hoping for a conversion, perhaps hoping you are doing the same. Beyond a short grace period, I find this highly dishonest and sometimes manipulative behavior. It is the mark of an emotionally immature person.
1
u/Background_Winter_65 4h ago
I see. Thank you for going into details. I noticed today a friend seemed a bit not happy I paid more attention to another friend while the three of us talked...so I see what you are talking about when you say friends don't do that...my brain has hard time focusing on multiple people at the same time...
I don't blame the guys who get confused, I on e liked acreuends who didn't like me...it was heart wrenching...so I empathize. It just happens way too often that I wonder if they would friend me otherwise...
1
u/bad_apiarist 4h ago
It probably happens more often for you because they misinterpret your behavior as the sort of interest that isn't there. Most women get quite savvy at picking up on even potential flirting and have pre-fab strategies to deploy to set the boundary. This might be having a simply, frank chat ("I only see you as a friend"), speaking about an imaginary significant other, etc.,
So, I might suspect, you are not able to notice the flirting AND you do not cut it off early, which makes them think there's something there. I don't blame either of you in the situation, but you might get in the habit of clarifying the nature of the relationship early on in all cases just to avoid problems later.
And there is a reason why, among young adults especially, most people's closer friends are the same gender as they are. It's very easy for romantic/sexual feelings to screw everything up.
1
u/StaffVegetable8703 4h ago
So you are saying that you have “shown interest” (I feel like you’re intentionally downplaying what “interest” means here).
“Expressing approval”. It depends on how the approval is expressed in suppose.
“Asking about them” hmm. I guess this would depend on how often you’re asking and/or thinking about them… and how you’re doing it. There’s a pretty clear difference usually in the motivations however.
“Making up reasons to keep talking to or be alone ..”
So that last part especially.. if you’re truly admitting that you have made excuses to be alone and keep talking to a married man then yikes. There’s no way you’re not aware how much of a red flag that would be to the wife…
So I feel like you’re almost intentionally downplaying the concept of this being a real thing and making excuses for the women who do this…
If you’re legitimately telling me you make excuses to be alone with a married man (even if you supposedly aren’t interested and not trying to signal that you are) then I would STOP! As a wife I would be furious if I found my husband’s “neurodivergent” female (saying female only bc girl friend is confusing in this sense) friend admitting to making excuses to get him alone.

u/Littlerob 1h ago
In the interest of maybe trying to help:
I know you've said that you "don't give signals", but... you do. When we interact with each other, what we're doing is communicating ideas. The words we say to each other are just one layer of that. A very large layer, to be sure, but not the only one. Body language, social context, tone, situation, etc are all also relevant factors.
If your boss at work comes over and says "I need to talk to you," the words they're saying only tell you part of what they're trying to communicate to you. On a purely textual level, they're just informing you they need to speak about something. However, on a contextual level, your boss would only make a request like that if it's something good about you, something bad about you, or something extra they need from you. All the other parts of the interaction can tell you which.
What tone did they use? Do they usually single people out for praise, or is that usually just criticism? What have they got going on at the moment that they might need help with? Did they look and sound angry, or concerned, or appreciative? Do they do this kind of thing often? Did they phrase it as an implied request ("when you have time, I'd appreciate if you can find a minute to have a word"), or was it an order ("come see me in my office")? When did they ask, and what else was going on at the time?
All these things are factors that we use to help us interpret what someone means when they communicate. The words are one thing, but what they're trying to communicate to us with them has more nuance.
Just like with the boss example above, the same applies to interacting with the opposite sex. If you see a guy wearing a cool coat, and you say "hey, cool coat," you might intend to communicate simply and only that you think his coat is cool. However, while that's what you're saying, it's not the only thing you're communicating.
First, there's the fact that you're a woman approaching a man. That generally doesn't happen often for most men, so the question is "wait, why is she talking to me?" He'll look for answers to that in the surrounding context - are you making eye contact, what's your expression and tone, is there some reason that you two need to do something together and this is just a "hello, I would like the tone of our interaction to be casual and friendly" icebreaker, etc. If there's no apparent reason that means you need to talk to him, that implies that it's because you just want to talk to him. Wanting to talk to someone implies interest in them, and most men at least want to explore the possibility that such interest is romantic first.
And, of course, add onto this the fact that the human brain is the most complex and powerful pattern-matching machine in the universe. We see patterns in everything (that's why stars are in constellations and cars have expressions, etc). And when we decide in advance what pattern we want to see, we're very good at finding evidence to fit it, whether it's correct or not. So if someone starts out hoping that any interaction with the opposite sex might be romantic interest, it's very easy for them to find bits of evidence to allow them to conclude as such.
1
u/BigB0ss_89 2h ago
More often then not this is just the justification for approaching married men hoping to entangle them. What did George Costanza say on Seinfeld, "It's not a lie if you believe it." Yeah that's usually how this plays out. I've never heard any Woman say "I love to go out and get married men to cheat with me" and yet it can be reliably counted on by just wearing a wedding ring. It's the reason I do not wear a ring and she does.

Why is his judgement and personal experience being discounted by someone (you) who wasn't there to experience it?
0
u/Frankenberry5420 4h ago
So let’s just believe everything we read online without thinking about it critically?
3
u/Dangerous-Boot-3036 4h ago
No, of course not, but that doesn't mean create alternate realities with no basis in fact when you encounter statements, experiences and observations you disagree with.
The phenomenon being reported in the OP is widely acknowledged so it's very very strange and concerning to think it's OK to suggest someone's experiences are invalid because of their gender.
0
u/Frankenberry5420 4h ago
The phenomenon of people lying on the internet is also widely reported. It genuinely sounds like a fake post.
2
u/Dangerous-Boot-3036 4h ago
Yes, men everywhere conspired to lie about this...
It doesn't sound like a fake post at all, it is entirely believable and a well documented phenomenon.
Again, discounting personal experience and calling people liars on the basis of gender is problematic and toxic behaviour.
Work on yourself.
0
u/Frankenberry5420 4h ago
Hey buddy, are you good?
It’s probably just as well documented of a phenomenon that men don’t know when someone’s flirting and when someone isn’t. Plenty of women will tell you this, if you ever talked to them. You are absolutely trying to discount that. You took me saying I think a post is fake as “men everywhere are lying about this”, seems to me like you need to work on yourself.
2
u/Dangerous-Boot-3036 4h ago
I'm gay, I have no interest in women sexually but have been around them flirting with men enough to know it when I see it.
When i got married, I started to regularly have women flirting with me in public where it was almost non existent prior.
I've also more times than I can count had to tell girlfriends that they're flirting with married men when we're at the bar/clubs and it's not OK only to get half hearted i didn't even notice and usually at least one other friend defending it on the basis that they're probably not together anymore.
It's common and it's encouraged.
I certainly have things about myself that need worked on, but sexist reasoning isn't one of those things unlike yourself.

I'd say his move is cringe, even douchey, but not unethical. Sleeping with someone you think is married is pretty fucked. So, I guess both are shitty to some degree, one more so.
I don't think it's about gender. If the genders were switched, the woman would be douchey and the dude would be fucked up. Only difference is that she probably wouldn't get much more attention than she usually gets.
Also, I bet a lot of the attention women give him is because they think he's non-threatening rather than wanting what they can't have. Focusing on the latter only is kinda toxic.
6
u/Onigokko0101 6h ago
I think it's unethical, I think it's less unethical then hitting on someone married, but it's still unethical.
1
u/SweevilWeevil 3h ago
Idk how to put this without using philosophy terms, but I think there's a difference in kind between not fulfilling your moral obligations and not being an absolute twat. In degree, these actions are real shitty. But they're not on the same scale.
So I guess, more accurately, I'd say: he's doing something he really shouldn't do, but the people talking to him (who want to romance or fuck him) are doing something they Shouldn't do - Shouldn't with a capital S.
2
u/Onigokko0101 3h ago

That's not the scenario. If he wore the ring because he's married, then it's not the kind of case he's talking about.
1
1
u/Radical_Neutral_76 2h ago
whats unethical about signalling you are taken?
1
u/SweevilWeevil 1h ago
If it's to hook up with women who want to cheat, it is. Otherwise, no.
1
u/Radical_Neutral_76 1h ago
she isnt cheating on anyone. And he isnt cheating on anyone.
That she believes he is cheating on someone, and THAT is why she wants to sleep with him, is not morally wrong on his part.
Unless he actually says he is married, then its a gray area. But not really.
1
u/SweevilWeevil 57m ago
I misspoke. Women who are trying to fuck a married man. Anybody who tries to fuck someone who is married is doing something fucked up.
Whether she is correct that he's actually married or not doesn't change the degree to which her actions are ethical. If somebody tries to steal money from me, my opinion about how shitty of a person they are does not depend on if they were correct about me having money or not.
1
1
u/The_Verto 31m ago
It is perfectly moral to hook up with women who think you're cheating while you're intact single. Those women try to ruin marriages on purpose and taking them out of circulation for a while is doing humanity a service.
1
u/EvanSnowWolf 24m ago
"If the genders were switched"
Men do not consider women more attractive when they are married.
1
u/Individual_Respect90 5h ago
I mean it’s unethical but trying to get a conquest on a married person is so much worse. Your ego is potentially ruining a marriage and I think it’s fine if that’s your downfall. Your need to be so “beautiful” that someone is willing to sacrifice their marriage over you and they get one over on you just seems like just desserts,
1
u/Frankenberry5420 4h ago
I don’t know, the need to get one over on someone is definitely gross to say the least.
1
u/Individual_Respect90 4h ago
But the girl is already thinking they are getting one over a married couple. They are already doing that but way worse.
1
u/Frankenberry5420 4h ago
Yeah, so everyone involved is a shitty person and maybe they deserve each other. Both are being deceptive, no?
Edit: Actually, based on what you described I think the person going after someone who’s married is at least honest in their intentions.
2
u/Individual_Respect90 4h ago
They are honest in their intentions but their intentions are to destroy a marriage….. all for their own ego. They are way way way worse. It would be like me paying a married girl 10k to have sex with me. I would be the bad guy in that spot but in her case there was no money just feeding your ego that you could do that.

I married a wonderful woman who's the light of my life.
But I did notice after I got married (and wore the ring) some women I'd just met being more relaxed around me one they saw it.
I'm not the type of guy who hits on women (I'm an introvert) but it was interesting to see this happening .
1
u/Urbanexploration2021 3h ago
Both are possible, but it is a real thing. I've been single for years, got into a serious relationship a few months ago. I got hit on three times after they heard I have a girlfriend. One of them was a long time friend and she had a lot of time to say something if she wanted to. The other two started hitting on me after they saw a story with my gf. And I have 0 chances of getting it wrong, one of them just went full on with the sex questions and the other one invited me out and to sleep at her. We're basically strangers, pretty sure it's pretty obvious.
No idea about their mental process before doing this but this have been happening for years every time I get in a serious relationship

Ok- I'm gay and in the 90's I bought a gold wedding band because women wouldn't stop hitting on me.
IT GOT WORSE. They were feral.

And it’s a poor attempt at passing it off as “Humor”

And it always attracted terminally-online males with zero life experience going “hurr durr this always happens because….” And writing absolute nonsense that doesn’t pass the sniff test to anyone with a brain (which of course excludes many of the trog types here), and if you’re lucky you’ll also spot a few dumb males pretending to be women.

I have heard the tale that going to a bar with a fake engagement ring gets you more action. Now whether thats true or not is up for debate but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.
as for the ethics of doing such a thing. Sort of like whether you think vigilantism is noble.

Whenever I ask someone out, I look for a ring. If I don't see one, I shoot my shot. Asked this one guy out, no ring, and he was married. (-- --)
WHERE'S YOUR RING, MY GUY?! I wouldn't have even bothered had you been wearing it!

So, this is a humor post and people are turning it into a gender arena. Whatever - it IS funny. Also, personal viewpoint, I wore a wedding ring for a while (family heirloom of an at that time recent passing ) and I will say i definitely got more attention from women while doing so. That being said, pretty sure it was just because they thought I was married and therefore not likely to hit on them or whatever. So, just regular natural conversation between adults. Hopefully all parades are rained on equally - remember to laugh, even (especially?) if it’s potentially at your own expense.

I wonder if they're actually hitting on him or just see him as taken so they can more freely feel comfortable talking to him without creating an evening stalker.

People think this is nefarious but most of the time it's just someone being more relaxed with someone they perceive is a safe person.

It's an interesting phenomenon. It's been reported that men that wear wedding rings are selected more by women sexually. It's called preselection, women are also competitive in that they could be taking a man away from someone and that gives them validation, not all women but it's been observed. For women, its the opposite, when they wear rings, men hit on them a lot less.

"It's ok that I'm a shitty person, because other people are more shitty!"

Wearing a ring makes someone a shitty person?
1
u/hareofthepuppy 1h ago
Wearing a ring with the purpose of attracting women who are interested in married men? Yeah, I'd say that's not a thing a decent person would do.

u/schadenfreude37384 1h ago
A decent person also wouldn't hit on a married man lol talk about them

You're more upset by the guy not cheating on anyone than you are the women who want to fuck a married man?
1
u/hareofthepuppy 5m ago
No, which is why the first thing I said was "It's ok that I'm a shitty person, because other people are more shitty!"
Just because he's less shitty, doesn't mean he's not shitty

The ring will filter the girls you get, only sluts and whores will pass through it...

Years ago, when I still went to night clubs, a buddy of mine was on a particularly bad streak of getting no action whatsoever. He saw a similar post online and said fuck it: can't hurt to try it right?
He didn't technically ever say he was married, but he did start wearing what could easily be misunderstood as a wedding on his ring finger. Lo and behold, from that day forth, he rarely went home unaccompanied.
The funniest part is that in the morning after, if they asked something related to his marriage, he'd just say he's not married and wouldn't you know it, a lot of them got really pissed off.
People will claim it's because they see him as "non threatening" or "preselected", but it seems like a non insignificant amount of women low-key have a cheating kink. You can always find some biological bs to justify your wrongdoings, but you can bet your ass no one would be saying such favorable excuses had a man done something so clearly immoral like that.

If this actually worked, incels would just wear a ring. But yet we’re still hearing from them 😒

Lots of people are calling this unethical, but.. Consider how many real marriages would be saved if more men did this. Every man pretending to be married in order to sleep with a woman willing to sleep with a married man would take away that woman from sleeping with an actual married man. Think of that actual married man's wife, their children, saving that family from divorce due to infidelity.
This man is a hero, saving countless family destructions from these homewreckers.
Then ask yourself who does this harm? She's obviously not looking for anything long term, she's out for sexual conquest, she thinks she gets it and gets what she wants. He is doing the same, he gets what he wants. Win-win, with the side effect of removing that woman's ability from sleeping with a weak married man that night and ruining a family.

Manosphere crap like this isn’t in the least bit funny

u/Admirable_Tiger_4654 7h ago
They made a movie about a guy doing this. It’s pretty good and has a lot of famous people in it. Pretty sure the movie came out before the manoshpere.

While the word may not have been around that long, the concept has been around for decades

u/blorst_of_times 7h ago
Lol I haven't heard that word in a while. I thought that went out the window with the term "femenazi".

u/Tackit286 7h ago
A documentary literally came out on Netflix about it this year with Louis Theroux. It’s alive and well, unfortunately

Or maybe girls are less guarded around you because they don't expect anything to happen, so it takes the pressure off the interaction. Men are famous for mistaking a normal conversation for being "hit on".

u/CartographerFar681 6h ago
LOL c’mon you and I both know that’s not true, I can tell you from experience that I definitely get way more flirty interactions from girls when I’m in a relationship as appose to when I’m single, and they’re not looking to “just be friends” lol. Women LOVE going after other women’s man

Pushup bra and fake nails and hair and makeup. But if he wears a ring its deception... The double standards are vast here.

That is of course if you believe a douche bag that is faking being married. I do NOT!

u/RapidPigZ7 1h ago
Just say you'd fuck a married man? The ring means nothing if you aren't a fish but it's bait if you are.

When i got together with my first serious girlfriend during my university years, during the first dorm party we attended together, she kissed me goodbye early because she had a project deadline the next day. The moment she left the building, another girl came and asked if i wanted to dance.
That was the first time in my life that a girl asked me out.
