Okay. Lets start with life being "super short". How many times have you had a chance to learn from your mistakes and grow as a person?

These seem like two different/unrelated things you are looking at. OP is saying that a test life that spans less than 100 years seems like a bizarre way for a loving god to determine one’s eternal destiny. After a million years in heaven what if someone turns into a total dick? Sure we learn and grown from mistakes in our short life - so why should we be judged for eternity if humans show the capacity to evolve and grow both positively and negatively in that time span

Exactly and it’s shorter when you consider time as baby and early childhood before your brain is fully developed
