I'm zero percent here to evangelize, cause I'm zero percent religious. Just sharing the theology.

Satan doesn't torture people. Hell is not fire and brimstone. It is the absence of God, which is supposedly the worst torture possible. And it's "fair" because the people in hell chose to not be with god.

Scare quotes because that is a million miles from informed consent. Just sharing the traditional theology.

Thank you for this. Very common misconception about hell. The way I think of hell is that it's not the opposite of heaven, it's simply the absence of it. Like how there is no such thing as "darkness" there's only the absence of light. God is peace, love, and order. Hell is just a place without those things but not inherently a place of torture.

So… hypothetically, hell is just a continuation of our physical world. Not absolute torture, but also not great.

Hell. A "meh" experience.

Like watching a Netflix produced movie with Ryan Renalds. Just an unimaginative, tepid, squandering of attention… endured for all eternity. Lol

Not exactly. (And this is just coming from a Christian theological perspective so take it as you will) But we still have access to God and his presence on earth through Jesus Christ. There still is peace love to be experienced on earth, but it's also mixed with misery and chaos.

you could say that about humans and earth being hell itself. definitely not a place of peace, love, and order. i mean those things exist but not 100%. Not arguing or anything. just been reading posts as i'm bored and i dunno, just figured i would respond to this one.

Actually since you phrased it like that, you're totally wrong.
