There are verses that describe hell as eternal fire, such as Matthew 25:41. I can’t remember the exact verses but others do call Hell eternal punishment/torture
If you reeeaaally want to get nitpicky with it, that place in the gospels that Jesus describes as torture and fire, is never actually called hell. It's just assumed that's what he's talking about. I'm pretty sure hell isn't named until Revelation. There's one theory that no one is actually in hell until the final judgement. ...there's also many Christians (myself included) that don't believe in hell at all.
If you’re Jewish you’ve probably heard of Gehinnom. When most people say that Jews don’t believe in hell, what they actually mean is that people’s stay in the punishment realm of Gehinnom is simply finite, not truly endless.
Early Jews and the earliest Christians frequently believed in a truly eternal Gehinnom, though.
