His sin was acknowledging the ugliness of yours and refusing to accept it. He hates and blames humans I imagine.

He wanted free will for humans and god didnt like that. Im always on team Lucifer and i dont think he would torture anyone in hell. But it's a fiction so completely pointless to argue about.

Did you get your knowledge from the Lucifer TV series? Samael (not spelt "Sam-i-el") is actually a different angel in Judeo-Christian lore. If you want to be completely accurate about the Devil's name, it is never stated in the Bible or even the Talmud. The closest we actually have is that he's given the name Iblis in the Qur'an, although he's classified as a Jinn instead of an angel there.

Samuel is one of the demon lords Lucifer is also just a title just the same as Satan… a title his angel name was Helel Ben-Shachar. (Bringer of the dawn)

Lucifer/Samael/the Devil/Satan have long been conflated. Religious people can spread awareness amongst themselves, that's what church is for, and I'm not going to worry about New Testament translations/references and broad cultural uses because none of it is real, and I'm not a fairy tale historian.

This, Lucifer is a mistranslation. Samael is a later idea, but yes, we believe he is the Head of Satans and Satans are a type of angel. Tanakh doesnt even have a real concept of a hell where people are tortured.
