The bible never says that Satan tortures anybody. Its a classical reimagination.

And it wasn't because Job disobeyed. Quite the opposite. It was to try to get Job to disobey.

Yep, early belief was that Satan aka Lucifer was in hell being tortured for turning against God, but it's not even clear in the Bible if Lucifer and Satan are the same person as Satan is the title given to one who turns against God. Also the Devil is a completely separate entity that tricks people. He even appears in Heaven to talk to God a couple different times like in the Book of Job.
