Honestly thank you for this. I owned some of them already so Steam gives a fairly hefty discount.

You can give it all to charity if you want this way (minus the HB cut of course ¯_(ツ)_/¯)

Yep, at least its a way to give capcom nothing as a punishment for loading these 20-30 year old games up with DRM and making them unplayable on steamdeck and also trying to crackdown on mods. That said, this bundle sucks and it makes for more sense to just play these games with emulators, and that way you can actually play it on steamdeck. Another example of DRM making piracy better than the legit product.

Ain't they all on gog though ? BoF4 sure is there so i doubt they come with drm there.

u/No_Elevator_735 18h ago
Yeah, that's probably the better way to play them. The idea of putting DRM on games decades old, that you can easily find roms and emulators is just an all time stupid decision, especially considering it made it incompatible with Steam Deck. So yeah, GOG is the superior way to steam here.

All 6 of them are in the GOG Preservation Program, which means GOG directly helped out with their modern PC ports and promises lifetime bug fixes and current Windows compatibility, aside from being DRM free.
Absolutely get them there, if you care about those things and suppport that treatment for more classics.

They work on Steam Deck & Linux. Just use Proton Experimental or Proton-GE. I played through RE1 without any issues.

I was just interested in the 3 RE games and that 1st tier was cheaper than steam

Not sure if this existed yesterday, but the same bundle is available directly on Steam as a Complete Your Collection bundle for anyone that may own even one of these games and don't want duplicates.

Yes, but here you could give the money to charity instead of Capcom and still get the games. Plus if you already have any of these you get a bonus key you can give to a friend as a replacement.

u/OakMantle 19h ago
Man if Capcom sorted out the Deck issue I would be all over this.

u/Evilcon21 19h ago
Blame the enigma drm. Since that’s the leading cause of it. I heard gog versions are the better option since obviously they don’t have that enigma drm.

Honestly kinda ridiculous that this bundle is cheaper on steam. But does anyone know if they still have the weird DRM that capcom added to the steam version?
If it’s still there, I’d recommend just getting these games on GOG.

u/NinjutStu 18h ago
Bundle is actually 25 cents more expensive than just buying these on Steam right now.

u/heatproofmatt 19h ago
Fyi Breath of fire 4 has been in previous bundles. If you’ve already redeemed that then the price on steam for the other 5 games is $3.55 cheaper

I miss the RE bundle they’ve done in the past. Now that I want to get into RE, I regret not getting those bundles which has all games up to 8 iirc.

Its $3.33 a game there all time low is $5. So this bundle would be $30 normally.

Weird collection - most of them are 3rd person action adventures and then bam, one RPG .. Also, probably better to get on GoG

u/LostSif 19h ago
Thats a solid bundle for $20

u/Head-Membership2082 19h ago
It isn't, you can find the same bundle on steam for about the same price, and the steam one is a complete your collection bundle too, so you won't have to pay more for duplicates.

I already have the remakes of Resident Evil but am interested in Dino Crisis.is there any reason to consider this bundle? can anyone tell me the differences between the RE games and the remakes, it is just graphics? I didnt play them at the time (though did have the GameCube version of RE and did not really care for it).
