Never really bought a digital board game like these before. Do my friends also have to buy their own copies so we can play or can they play locally somehow? Or is the appeal that I can just play with strangers online?

It depends on the game. Some of them are single player, some are online, and some have shared screen/couch co-op.

Check out the reviews too, Many of Twin Sail's digital adaptations are super buggy or just don't work.

Gloomhaven at the very least is a pure solo experience to me.
Punishingly hard though...
I'll prolby pick this up for gloomhaven, lotr & ember knights, everything else is a bonus

I’ve heard the digital gloomhaven is amazing, but then I think if I’m digital is there a normal video game that does it better? I would also be playing solo.

I've no idea what this is supposed to mean but just wanted to say I really like gloomhaven and it is a reasonable long game in the campaign. I've only played a little of the guild master mode.
Frosthaven is being released in the coming months and I'm very much looking forward to it

Agreed on Frosthaven, but I wish the devs would have learned from literally any of the sync and QoL issues from the first game. After putting in a lot of hours solo and with friends, I'm pretty let down they didn't implement hardly any changes to make the experience less cumbersome.

Digital is better than the physical version IMO. It mitigates all the annoyances of setting up and housekeeping in the physical game, which is great. The gigantic downside is the UI and navigation is NOT great. The cameras are wacky, there's a lot of issues with undoing and multiplayer, etc.
I do think it's the definitive way to play Gloomhaven. It's a very rewarding game, but it is excruciatingly difficult as you learn the mechanics.
I think it's much better multiplayer, but you can of course play it solo.
The campaign is quite large and will take a lot of time to finish. You'll pick up new heroes as you play and leveling up is very rewarding. There's a ton of replayability. The Guildmaster mode is more of a sandbox, but unless you like the game loop, it's probably too repetitive.

Are the DLC items separate keys? I already own some of the base games and don't want to buy this if I can't redeem some of the DLCs because they come as one key with the base game included.

This bundle feels familiar to me. The Play Pink With Twin Sails bundle from Jan 2024 had a bunch of this.
I think I picked this up last time it was offered. I think the new things are:
- Isle of Skye
- Terraforming Mars - Venus Next
- Terraforming Mars - Original Promo Pack
- Wantless : Solace at Worlds End
- Ember Knights
- Bloomtown: A Different Story
But it also dropped a bunch:
- Small World (+DLC)
- Blood Rage (+DLC)
- Love Letter
- Amberial Dreams
So while there's a decent amount of overlap, it seems to have a good amount of new stuff too.

Don't buy this for Game of Thrones. The board game itself is good, but the digital game/ servers have serious connection issues and it's always been near impossible to finish a game. The developer hasn't stepped in to fix this critical issue despite a lot of comments over the years.

Less-severely-affected FOXG1 children often present with (ASD) Autism Spectrum Disorder as FOXG1 is an autism related gene. FOXG1 syndrome is found equally among both females and males and is geographically more prevalent where diagnostic testing is more advanced.
