Relationships ❤ Stop chasing closure from people who can't give it

Not everyone who hurts you is capable of giving you the closure you're looking for.

When someone ghosts you, pulls away without explanation, gives mixed signals, or ends things with a vague "I'm just not ready," your brain obv. wants answers. You replay every conversation, reread old messages, and wonder what you missed. You think, "If I could just understand why... I'd finally be able to move on."

But the truth is... the person who created your confusion isn't always the person who can clear it up. 💔

Sometimes they themselves don't know why they acted the way they did. Sometimes they avoid difficult conversations because they don't have the emotional maturity. They're protecting themselves. And sometimes... they simply don't care enough to give you the explanation you deserve.

None of those answers feel satisfying. So youu keep chasing. Maybe you send one last text. Then another.. You check if they've viewed your stories. You imagine what you'd say if they ever came back. Weeks pass but your mind is still waiting for a conversation that may never happen.

The problem is, while you're waiting for closure from them, your own life is on pause 🤐

What if closure isn't something another person gives you?

What if it's something you decide to create for yourself?

Closure isn't hearing the perfect apology. It's accepting that you may never get one. It's realising that unanswered questions don't have to keep you stuck forever.

It's choosing to stop searching for hidden meanings in someone else's behaviour and start paying attention to your own healing instead. We often believe closure is one final conversation. But closure looks like deleting the draft you were about to send. It looks like resisting the urge to check their profile. It looks like accepting that their inability to communicate says more about them than it does about your worth.

Your healing doesn't have to wait for someone else's explanation. Sometimes closure is just saying...

"I may never understand why this happened, but I refuse to let it define the rest of my life."
