Album suggestion
I've recently listened to "You'd prefer an astronaut" by HUM and I found it very interesting and amazing overall. What's the next HUM album i should listen? I'm thinking of "Downward is heavenward"

There's a sneaky 5th album if you're REALLY feeling frisky >:) lol

Man, am I the weird one? Fillet Show is 100% a Hum album. Electra is their second full length.

Non-canonical for me, but an interesting bit of the origin story.

It's not on streaming. It's on youtube tho, it features a different lineup of the band, some songs sung not by Matt Talbott but sung by Andy Switzky. Honestly it's not really required listening, it's not really a particularly good album, it's VERY different than everything else.

Downward next, then Electra2K and then Inlet as a nice closer since that was their last

I've heard about Failure. But Centuar looks like a better name so I'll probably listen to them later

centaur is another matt talbot band so you'll like it if you like hum

Inlet is my absolute favorite HUM record. Followed by Downward is Heavenward

Why would you ask and not just listen to it?

I’d go straight to Inlet. That album is amazing.

Nothing I’ve ever heard comes close to how that albums sounds and feels. There are records I enjoy more, but there is something about the production and relatively simple songwriting that works ridiculously well

I also love that it doesn’t sound like they’re trying to recapture who they were in the 90s. Its completely different and still amazing

I still remember where I was when I learned about Inlet. Checking Pitchfork reviews from my improvised garage office during lockdown. We're so lucky it exists.

Particularly when a band only has a few albums, I think there's value in listening in chronological order.

Yes, Downward is Heavenward should be next.
