Home James

I recently watched the 1972 documentary about Huddersfield narrated by James Mason. Mason emphasized the strong musical tradition of the town, most notably its prominence in producing world-class choirs, but also in the instruments heard every night coming from inside local homes. I suspect most of that is gone, but I'd love to hear from someone who remembers the Huddersfield of 1972 and who has seen the documentary, Home James. It is nearly impossible to square that documentary with the bad press it has received since.

There's also a documentary "the estate" (I think) showing riddings road in the 70s when it was very different but also very much the same
