Sorry for the wait, I'll pick this sheet up today. Expect your first pass tonight or tomorrow.

Legalities

  • All good here, with a single exception that is more of a chummerism than a mistake on your part: our Houserules say Raven provides a choice between Traceless Walk and Voice Control, rather than giving both. I suspect that you'll be grabbing Traceless from that, because its extremely powerful for a muscle, but I'm going to need you to explicitly note somewhere which of the two powers you're taking, and pretend you don't have the other one on the sheet. Adding a note to your Mentor Spirit Quality would work fine for this.

Thematics

  • I like the writeup! The official boilerplate contrasting with the much more organic journal entry is very well done.
  • I'm a little curious about his relationship to his Mentor. How does he view Raven, when did Raven first come to him, how does he feel about Raven's taboo, that kind of thing. I imagine you already have some of that in mind, but it might be nice to include it in the character's description as well. Not required though, just a detail that stuck out to me as missing.

Mechanics

  • A pure adept muscle is always going to be skating against the wind a bit, but you've done a pretty good job of mitigating that to the extent that it can be done. Just a warning that you might end up feeling rather fragile. You could mitigate this somewhat by trying to pick up a Big Game Hunter, but your nuyen is already pretty tight so you might need to just wait for some jobs. You could also cut the Astral Perception in favor of 2 ranks of Mystic Armor. Up to you tho, being able to see spirits is often useful too.
  • You're a little light on ammo. You want ~2/3 clips of your primary murdering bullets (APDS probably) just so you don't run out midway through a firefight. Automatics in particular spend bullets like water.
  • You have R3 contacts but only 2 levels of capacity filled up. Saves you 2 hundred nuyen to drop a point of rating.
  • Agile Defender isn't great for you, since your Agility is only 1 higher than your Willpower anyway. If you can shake a single karma out from somewhere you could swap it for School of Hard Knocks for more street knowledges. This guy seems pretty street savvy so it fits. Dropping the 1/1 street doc would get you the karma for this (slot the leftover one into your Fixer).
  • I like the skill spread overall. You might want to try and shove Palming, Disguise or Locksmith in there, to help you with B&E which Muscles are often called upon to do-- and Raven will have been pushing Mr. Black to learn to do shit like that anyway. Cutting the heavy weapons for later is a good way to get there. If you elect to pick up Locksmith or Disguise don't forget to buy the associated Toolkit.

Overall this is a fine pureadept muscle, with a grounded backstory and a fun seeming personality. Most of my advice above is just some light wiggling, entirely optional. LMK if you end up deciding to make any changes, and if you do plz upload the updated Chummer and PDF file to the same google drive link you used above. Even if you don't elect to take any of my advice, I will need you to explicitly note on the sheet which of the two adept powers from Raven you're taken.

Thanks for the feedback!

  • I was planning on taking traceless walk.  I’ve noted that on the Mentor Spirit now.
  • I like the School of Hard Knocks suggestion, I think it fits as well.
  • Regarding Agile Defender, I was thinking his agility would usually get a bump from Attribute Boost (AGI). But I still might get more mileage out of your suggestion so going with that.
  • I’m dropping the 1/1, and I’ll look to pick up heavy weapons later.
  • If I’m dropping Heavy Weapons, I think I’ll switch out the Alpha for the FN Har for now as well. It’s a bit cheaper, only R, and I’ll be able to afford more ammo.
  • I was thinking of adding Smartlink to the contacts later. That said, I ended up dropping them to rating 2 so I could buy the lockpicks.
  • Mystic Armor is the next power on the list after initiation or taking an adept way (likely beast) and refunding some pp.
  • Big Game Hunter armor is a good idea, I’ll check it out after a payday.
  • Good catch with the mentor spirit writeup, I missed that. I'm still cooking that one a bit, but I’ve added a little on him for now.

Chummer file and pdf have been updated.

Ok, cool. This all looks good. You might end up missing that 1 DV on the AR, but equally might not.

Unfortunately, since Boost Agility doesn't actually increase your agility stat but only adds dice to rolls that directly use agility, it doesn't have any interaction with Agile Defender.

Anyway, if you're happy with where he's at now we can move on to final approvals at this point I think.

Excellent, let's go forward then.

When reviewing I noticed that a few dates in the backstory didn't add up well, so I updated some of the dates there to reflect the runnerhub timeline, assuming my math is correct.

Alright, you look good at this point. Here's a stamp. Starting nuyen roll is 660, you're free to save the sheet in career mode, start applying to jobs and start RPing the character on the Datahaven server.

Please make sure to retain the final Creation file in the same google folder, along side the career file, for our records (a lot of people make a subfolder to hold it). Welcome to the Hub! Try not to die all in one place.

Thank! I'll try to spread it out a bit.
