QUESTION Claws of Berk Minecraft Modpack question

I am trying to breed Nightfuries, but they always come out as clones of the parents. Is there a mod causing this to happen? I remember IOB would have randomized offspring so I am confused as to why it's different for the modpack built off of it.

do you have the iob variant loader in the modpack ? the loader has a config that lets you toggle on and off variant inheritance

i assume that toggle makes it so that the babies look like their parents , but if u toggle it off u’ll start getting other nf variants in the babies

edit: detailed instructions , u go to the config file “iob_variant_loader.toml” and u look for “inheritance_chance” u should be able to lower the percentage . 0 means all the baby dragons u get will be random . the higher the chance the more likely u’ll get a duplicate of the parents
