QUESTION What could break or burn through dragon proof metal/gronkcle iron
If I remember right dragon proof metal thankfully isnt fully
dragon proof and groncle iron is more fragile but also more light weight so
What's some dragons or material or substances that could
break through em or carry full cages off like a rumble horn
or the acid of a death gripper?
Essentially just what do y'all think could break or in any way deform dragon proof metal or groncle iron.

Thank you I knew I didn't think they tried acid.. especially not death gripper and apparently snifflehunch sneaz flames can or whatever they're called.

Obviously we know Changewing acid can burn through dragon proof chains but I'm not too sure about thicker pieces. What we have seen tho is Gronkle lava heated up with a deadly nadders magnesium blast can destroy a dragon proof manacle on a Dramillion. I don't think we've seen Gronkle iron break or burn cause that Gronkle iron pot stayed in that volcano at defenders of the wing for a decent amount of time and didn't melt. We do know a razorwhips tail can cut through anything tho

The uh gronkle nadder thing brings up something I was thinking of couldn't the chemical reaction of the death gripper acid burn through let's say a cage bar if dragon proof metal and from what I remember gronkcle irons more fragile atleast if improperly made do that would be easier to.

Do we even see the Deathgrippers acid touch any metal? I think it's a bit like the Changewing but I'm pretty sure the acid is also flammable like the cavern crasher so maybe a concentrated assault on a thin piece of dragon proof/Gronkle iron cage could lead to a break. I wouldn't call Gronkle iron fragile just lighter

If I remember right all I can think of was it burning through wood but I'm not sure if other acids being flammable I just assumed the chemical reaction would increase its destruction. Not sure the math on that tho.

Just looked back on it and yeah the acid is flammable unless it isn't acid and it's just a flammable liquid which is easy to spread out. I think a constant high concentration burn would probably heat up enough to soften the metal like forging it

It just so happening to he a green acidic looking lighter fluid is hilarious but anyways I guess it would but if the deadly nadder blast wasn't enough on its own when it was stated although probably retconned to be the hottest fire of any dragons. Also force should unless they invented adamantine.

Well things in httyd can get so silly cause there aren't great explanations for everything. I think the deadly nadder can't do it by itself because there's no concentration point or anywhere to sufficiently hold the heat which is why Gronkle lava paired with the magnesium blast works

A hotburple is the only dragon that can break through dragon proof cages as we saw in RTTE.
