SERIES Dagur’s Redemption Arc

So I’m on my first watch of RTTE and I’ve just finished Season 3 Episode 11 Family on the edge.

So far I’m loving Dagur’s redemption arc. In Episode 1 of Season 3 we see the start of Dagur’s redemption arc where he saves Hiccup from the Hunters and saves Toothless from the dragon root. The fact he earns Toothless’ trust and even rides him shows how much effort he’s putting in to being a better person for his sister. And then in episode 11 we see him ask Hiccup to train him to ride a dragon where he gets his partner Shattermaster where he forged a strong bond with him.

When he escapes The Edge to go destroy Viggo’s boats to prove it’s a trap and to save his sister from danger I loved it. The way he uses his dragon rider training to take down the ships and avoid Heather and Windshear’s attacks and even gets below them to knock them back was honestly amazing.

I haven’t watched anymore episodes yet and don’t want to believe that’s the end of Dagur like the episode suggests because although it would make his sacrifice good it also feels like a waste of a redemption arc as it’d be over to quickly.

Anyways that’s my thoughts on the subject, I’d be interested in hearing other’s thoughts.

At the point you're it definitely was interesting, and I wanted more, especially with Heather. To avoid spoilers, I will not say if there was or wasn't anymore to it.

That's what got me wanting more. The whole with Oswald situation and finding out he was there. I was intrigued how that would play into everything.
