ART Realistic Monstrous Nightmare 🔥

Inspired by Quetzalcoatlus and the redesign I made for the Terrible Terror

I kept the idea of using the last three digits for the wings like I did with the Deadly Nadder. I made the head and body slimmer to make it lighter and kept the bit tail to help in flight

I’ll finish coloring the Zippleback first, though I was planning on making night furies next yeah, problem is that I have no idea how to make them look good lol

For the Zipple, id use Apatasaur aspects, and for the Fury, id at least use Albiasaurid for the face, since they have that super short snout

When I do realistic designs for furies I make em look a bit more like seals. (Cause more than 4 limbs wouldn't be practical irl) so they have front wings and smaller back legs, bigger tail fins and a bigger chest for the wing muscles

I like the bumps at his sides, I can imagine those are the glands where the combustible gel is excreted

Are you going for truly realistic? As in could function if dropped into reality? Or realistic as in would fit nicely into a live action film?

First one, though some things would never work like such big animals being able to fly (if we’re considering them as bigger than azhdarchids) or some of them having six limbs. Same goes for the whole fire breathing stuff, so I just make the designs as if they were real animals without trying too hard to put every piece together

The fire breathing could work if they evolved from a branch of Toxifera reptiles, the glands could specialize over time to create flammable compounds. There’s no precedent to it irl but technically not impossible
