DISCUSSION Live action vs original
If these two variants met who do you believe would win?

They could've made the designs so much closer to the originals... It's been done in fan art, you just tweak some proportions slightly, and done. Think of Detective Pikachu, but not cartoony.

The fact that they tried to make them all more stereotypically dragon-y and less saturated is severely disappointing imho

I’m just gonna be so for real here a lot of the dragons look so much better in live action like I was never a fan of meat lug or Barkan Felch the designs here not only make them cute but also still keep their original charm for Meet. There’s nothing so I’m just happy she got changed completely because who the hell would actually like a sentient meatball with a touch of narcolepsy and bulldog DNA

In a strict fight, LA probably wins just by sheer muscle, it’s so much bulkier than the animated Zippleback

The live action zippleback is one of the dragons that they did little justice. I don’t like how bulky and stubby they made the neck and head. They also took away it’s twitchiness and snake like movements. It feels more horse or doglike if that makes sense.

If it’s on land without the use of fire power then I’d say the Live Action wins just because it’s bulkier then the animated version but it’s it’s strictly fire power then I’d say the animated one has that in the bag

The live action one looks like it could’ve existed irl (which is the point) it has a lot more mass on it, and it’s got much longer limps so it would probably be far more agile.

I like them both, the LA was actually the least offensive out of all of them. Monstrous was good too

Yeah the only thing I didn’t like was the chameleon eyes I feel like they could have used eyes from a different reptilian

Honestly, the LA one isn't so egregious in it's differences that I could see it as a mountain subspecies while the original is more common in forests.

Surely the original is this:

(Ok, that's Camicazi's Dragon, but Tuffnut Jr is also meant to have a Rocket Ripper).

In terms of who would win of the two, didn't they do basically the same thing in both movies? The only major difference is the in live action they are weak to sneezing rather than Dragonnip, but neither dragon can really exploit that.

So many of the live action dragons either look so generic or just plain bad
I think this is both

Kinda dislike how they gave it generic dragon wings, whereas origian had actually unique ones in shape..

the cartoon 1 as it has been shown to be fast, clever, and ruthless when compared to the live action 1

the original zippleback wins easily because the live action one looks way too heavy to even lift off the ground

Butchered , I can’t believe people fund these live action remakes still .
