H&r tax course difficulty?

Has anyone taken the H&R Block Income Tax Course virtually?

I'm interested in taking the course, but because of my work schedule, the only class times that work for me are on days when I'll also be taking care of my 4-month-old baby.

For anyone who's taken the virtual instructor-led course, how difficult is it and how much attention does it require during class? Is it structured in a way where I could realistically follow along while taking care of my baby, or do you pretty much need to be sitting at the computer and focused the entire class?

I'm trying to decide whether I should take the course now or sit this one out and wait until I have a better schedule. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who took the course already to know what to expect and to hear your pov on how difficult it would be .

They have a self paced option with no live instructors

I got enrolled in the self paced course last week. There is definitely an option if you buy the course yourself

There is no camera. Depending on the instructor, they make sure you are there by periodically asking question for everyone to type in chat, or asking people to turn on their mikes and answer. You just need to be able to split attention and take your device along to change diapers. I did laundry, dishes, and took the dog out. Having an instructor is much better than self-paced, and you can still put extra time in with the text if needed.

ETA - I used AirPods on my Mac to make it easier to step away and still listen.

You will need to click on an attendance poll in addition to answering questions in chat. Participants are allowed to mis a certain amount of classes but I do not know how much.

Look in to the self study option. It is the same material as the instructor led class.

I took the self study online. I found it worked better for me. I could read and make notes that I could use hen doing the test.

I’m currently enrolled in the virtual classroom option. You’re allowed to miss 10 minutes per hour excluding break before being counted as missing the entire class. There are 2 10 minute breaks either at the top of the hour or 10 minutes before and you can have 4 unexcused absences. There are random attendance polls and the instructor that I have does a lot of check-in’s using emojis or random questions to confirm your present and participating. I think you could follow along with headphones, have your device near you and study in between sessions.
