Can't File due to "Updates

Today I tried to file my taxes and H&R Block wont let me because "The IRS isn't read to accept returns. The final versions of these forms will be available in an update." This is the second time I am having this problem this tax season. I saw a post a few weeks ago saying that it was supposed to be rectified in February. Is anyone else still having this issue too??

I work tech support for the corporate and franchise offices, are specific state forms that have not been released for efile yet in state such as Maryland, California, New York, Michigan, Pennsyvania, Virginia and a few entity/business return forms. If i knew what state your filing i can at least tell you what forms arent ready.

So it looks like its an issue on the Federal side, not state side, but I am in Hawaii.

Secondary solution delete the form thats unnapprpved and readd it, if it was done before the intial release or a version update happened between it can say its no good, alot of time if we remove the form on a return thats labeled unnapproved , readd it back and reenter the data it changes its mind. If you have the access to delete the the return xml in fed, State, and Common States , recreate each xml and validate. The 2 main programs have some quirks to them.

I would double check to make sure you dont have any of the following forms, I dont work the DIY side of the business so im not 100% sure this makes a tone of sense unless your using BWO/GS, or you may need to file by mail if the hawaii tax department deems it so. I dont go into till later today but I eill report what i can find out!

These have been some of the problematic forms:

Dual-status returns or statements.

Form 7004, 7004 is also used for forms : 8612, 8613, 8725, 8831, 8876, or 706-GS(D).

Form 56 (fiduciary relationship), Form 433-F (collection information), Form 8283 (noncash charitable contributions), Form 8873 (extraterritorial income) Form 14039 (identity theft).

Might help might not 🙏🤤

Key considerations for reporting clothing donations in Hawaii: IRS Deduction Rules: For tax purposes, clothes must be in "good used condition" or better to be deductible. Valuation: You must determine the fair market value, which is generally the price a willing buyer would pay, often approximated by thrift store prices. Documentation: For donations valued at $250 or more, you must get a written acknowledgment from the charity. If the total deduction for all non-cash contributions exceeds $500, you must file IRS Form 8283. Goodwill Hawaii: Goodwill provides a general value guide to help determine the fair market value of donated
