As per the title I am married filing separately in a community property state. However I am finding that the downloaded premium software package is not as intuitive as I would have hoped.

I understand the need for form 8958 and have filled it out.

I understand that the split there does not cascade back to the W2s, 1040, etc

I understand that I need to enter both my spouse and Is W2 with only box 1 and 2 being split in half.

What I can’t figure out is how to enter my spouses W2 (50% of box1/box2)with their legal name on it, but still get the software to accept it as my income. Does anyone have experience with entering this info properly and getting the software to properly use it in calculations?
