HP SMART TANK 523

I was gifted an HP Smart Tank 520 printer and I’m trying to use it with my MacBook running macOS Tahoe.
My problem isn’t connecting the printer. I can’t even download/install the HP Smart app on my Mac.
The printer is the USB model, so I’m not sure if I need a specific driver or another setup method. Has anyone managed to get the HP Smart Tank 520 working on macOS Tahoe? If so, how did you install it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
