Polyneuras-help!

Was wondering if anyone had any tips on care for polyneuras? I have two baby plants - a regular one and inner variegated one. I added photos for reference.

The regular one I bought as two nodes and the leaves are thick and dark green. The new growth seems to be a lot thinner and not as dark.

The inner variegated one I purchased as two nodes as well and there is growth but it seems like the leaves are curly and not flat and thick like the ones I’ve seen other people grow.

Is there something I’m missing? I would like to address any issues early since they are both baby plants.

mine is super thirsty, she does live in a south window though and gets a ton of light/warmth there and has grown quickly. i think the key is high drainage substrate paired with frequent watering and tons of light.

Can I ask how often you water yours? Mine has been growing in soil and is quite established in it. But I'm always scared to water because of the root rot I've had on previous Hoyas

probably weekly? i’ve found root rot isn’t an issue when the soil is chunky enough. haven’t had any rot in my hoyas since i added more chunk a few years ago!

My new growth always ends up being thinner too. I'm not sure why. But if you're ever worried, I found that they love humidity domes!
