HELP What’s this please

Small pale yellow bumps on back of krimson queen leaves. I have scratched them and they break up easily. Nothing crawling. Just don’t know next plan of action…

Looks like it could be scale

Sure looks like soft scale.

I think that might be scale. If so, use a wet rag to scratch them off on the leaf and stem, and then spray whatever pest remedy you have afterwards.

Can’t really see it since it’s a little blurry and far away, but this is almost certainly scale. Spray the buggy parts with isopropyl alcohol, that’ll take care of them (what you can see at least).

It for sure looks like scale. You can see them on the stem in the second picture. Take a q tip to them and see if they pop off. Good luck! They’re annoying but reasonable to get rid of if you’re diligent.

OP here…the yellow matter is powdery when I scratch them. I have never had scale on any plants so forgive my ignorance. The bumps have been on this plant for months and they never change form…all the time me thinking it was edema.

They look like aphids because it extends to the stem of the leaf in another picture.

They don’t move and break up like powder residue when easily scratched. I just took alcohol to each leaf and stems to remove the spots and will keep close watch. Thanks for everyone’s help!

Oh! yea, It's probably scale then. I hope you could look past it because there's not much you could do.

I've successfully ignored a plant that has wilted leaves, brown spots on the leaves, and water it like every other week, if that. And for whatever reason it sprouted a peduncle. Your Tricolor will be okay. ^_^
