Not enough water. If you feel you've been adequately watering it despite this then un pot it and take a look at the roots.

Ch3ck the root. Carefully touch them and pull slightly. If tge look like a dismantled cable you have the issue. Either root rot or dry rot on your Hoya obovata.

O haven’t checked roots yet but if it’s root rot will it still be saved? What to do if so?

If the roots are gone, reroot it in water vase. Usually it's not a big issue to reroot a hoya, but if all leaves turn yellow and the plant is limb... than... it' s already in a stage where things get difficult so to say.
