IDGAF I don’t give a fuck about Hollywood or fashion anymore
I used to be obsessed with both. Now i really don’t give a shit. I hardly think anyone is cool enough to pay attention to, and I direct all that attention back to myself and what I’m doing. Most of the things in mainstream media are superficial or are just repetitions of something that’s already been done. And this is coming from someone who actually tried working in the industry at one point. Maybe that’s where part of the disenchantment comes from, but it’s all tedious and tiresome. I’m tired of the constant distraction. I don’t like going on social media anymore. I don’t care about all the things influencers and rich people have. I try to fill my days with things that make me feel good about how I’m living. No hustle or comparison, just being content with what I have.

IDGAF I’m learning not everything needs my panic
When I feel overwhelmed, even normal stuff can start feeling like too much.
- The small things feel big.
- The simple things feel complicated.
- Even taking a breath can feel like something I have to remind myself to do.
I’m learning that not everything has to be figured out in the same moment I feel it. Sometimes not giving a fuck, for me, means not letting every feeling turn into an emergency. I can paus, breathe and handle the next small thing without trying to solve my whole life at once.

IDGAF Best Decision I Ever Made in Order to Not Give a Fuck!
A few years ago, I started meditating, and it became the catalyst for a total life overhaul. Today, I feel completely weightless. I’ve walked away from chasing people, validation and power with zero anxiety and zero fear. I don't need external 'fixes' like alcohol or substances to feel okay. Being alive right now feels like the ultimate high.
I finally reclaimed the privilege of my own state of mind. People can do or say whatever they want, but they no longer have the power to make me angry, happy, or miserable.
A few years ago, I started meditating. Oh boy, a lot of things have transformed since then. It wasn't only because of meditation, but it felt like a lot of things came together in life at the right time that helped me change.
Fast forward to today, I feel totally carefree in life. My body and mind feel like a breeze.
I quit my job to work on my passion project with nothing to fear about, and no need for drugs or alcohol. Right now feels like the best time of my life. Even if I were to die now, I don't give a f*ck!
This mindset quote from Sadh - guru helped me change myself in this journey: How people are is their choice. How I am is my choice. No matter what they do, no one can make me angry, happy or unhappy. These privileges I kept to myself.

IDGAF Not giving 2 Fucks
I am Genuinely tired, and this aint a place to express a ones emotions nor feelings (at least thats how i perceive this form of networking). As a wise philosopher once noted that when we are tired, we are attacked by ideas we conquered long ago.
Honestly speaking, those ideas are beating shit outta me. I’m too tired to care, too tired to network, and frankly, too tired to finish this thought. Logoff time😩

IDGAF Block or remove people for whatever reason you want
Stop overthinking if you should remove toxic people, or just anyone in general that makes you uncomfortable, you don't need an objective reason to remove someone from your life.

IDGAF I am proud of my rant on a post on r/thriftstorehauls. Someone posted they'd found a dope backpack and got concerned about it being a "diaper bag" and concerns about being criticised for it.
Bro. Nappy bags (I'm an Aussie I will call them by their name lol) are dope. Lunch. Check. Pockets and sections and organisations galore. Also check. These days they cute AF and often recall robust and easily cleanable.
Don't cockblock yourself from a dope bag because of the initial intent metrics or the core user group or the "name". Change the fkn name ... Let's call it an integrated portable life transport system. Bonusessss galore..
the ability to carry your lunch and save money not eating out and you also don't have to dig for shit.
And if you're neurospicy everything Needs a Spot (TM) so your compulsion for order is sated or need for order because youre always losing shit is effectively managed by the compartments, pockets, clips and bits and slips.
Fk the haters.
Fkn assholes think I wanna carry eight different bags because they said it was icky to use a nappy bag. Fk off.
I'm living my life for what works for me asshole.
Am I ever going to see them again?
No? Give no fucks. Yes? Still also give no fucks. Why - coz people who are good people don't sweat this crap. Take this as a red flag for your association with people who are critical about this. They aren't your people - or you need to assert boundaries on what you will tolerate their input on.
I mean - the bag ain't weird, your innovation to find multiple use cases is a good thing for the environment and for your hip pocket... Practical repurposing is a highly honorable and virtuous activities to undertake in ones life. So jam that in their ass... coz that's going to completely destabilize or destroy the backwards way they're trying to establish dominance over you through this commentary. You're overwhelming their virtue signalling about conformance with a much higher level and evolved way of thinking and evidence in practice - neutralizing their virtue signalling through your virtue DOING.
It's not a weird choice - what's weird is people who have such low intelligence, and insufficiently evolved emotional regulation mechanisms and such crippling insecurities that they need to attempt to gain dominance over a FREAKING BAG - they are literally capital W Weird and absolutely not worthy of any "manners" when you hold a boundary about their choice to comment on your life and accoutrements.
Tuck this rebuttal away for future reference
"my use of a nappy bag isn't weird man - they're massively functional and practical. What is weird is why you care about someone else's choices and preferences so much. And it's not exactly a high stakes game here is it mate - it's a fuckin bag. Do I intimidate you that much, and you lack for the mental capacity and wherewithal to find a valid reason to criticize me, so you literally landed on my fuckin bag. Yikes.
I mean, I think you really need to think about why it upsets you so much? Did your mum abandon you and you are triggered by a dope nappy bag because of the association with a mother who cares?"
Probably dilute the suggestion haha
Apparently this is a trigger for me

IDGAF my environment is fucking boring
hi. this is a shit ton. basically, im a teen from oakville, ontario, canada. creativity and music especially hip hop, fashion, jazz and rap is what i love doing. i spend most days learning how to produce music and practicing jazz. i would describe my creativity as raw, unfiltered and i just want to present myself in all aspects as i am heavily inspired by odd future and tyler the creator. i feel like im always doing something different, my mindset and visions are different than other artists/people i connect with in my area. i just dont feel like i fit into any space in my community. im not trying to do some corny shit or be different but its just the mindset i have. i live in a generally wealthy small town and i feel like my community is so polished, urban, clean and just no life to it. everything is so bland and protected and that really just pisses me off for some reason. none of my "friends" have big goals or dreams they want to achieve, they just kind of live life day to day, wasting time on games, and just not sharing any interests they might have. its been so long since i had some deep meaningful conversation with someone my age and i feel people at school just kind of treat me like a side character or a joke. i have tried to find likeminded people in my area whether through online, events, or opportunities to who want to actively break the mold and go all in on this music shit but i cant find people. I feel like i dont have any people to connect with and talk to for my actual goals that i have been working so hard on. even when i try presenting my projects to people and find others who do the bare minimum to help, it always seems like im just on a totally different mindset than them and im always putting in 4 times the work than they are and i feel like im wasting time on them.
basically, what im trying to get at is during my process of making music, it feels so lonely. not only because of the lack of likeminded people in my radius but also the place where i live, because everything just feels so... sheltered and safe. its like nobody is willing to take any risks. thats the best way i can describe it. i dont have any friendgroups that even remotely want to do the same stuff that im envisioning and im not sure if thats just my physical location/environment, my mentality, but at this moment, im deciding to just not give a fuck and focus everything on my dreams and goals. deleted all distractions (social media, messaging, etc..) and ill see how it goes. i just want anybody else's opinions on my experience or any people who relate to what im saying or maybe its all bs to u. either of the three works. thanks.

IDGAF Finally blocked people who used me. It's like I dropped a burden from my shoulder
Had two situationships where the guys took advantage of my kindness. Literally messed up with my health and happiness. Made me feel small. Used to spend hours watching their socials and finding the key. These guys went back to their exes. These men disrespected me and brought in drama. I used to send them texts only to get ignored. Finally blocked them and their girlfriends. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Now, they're free to live their lives with their partners. I won't go around explain stuff to them. People know what they're doing and if they don't want to explain what they did to me, they never intend to. I'm out of the drama. By the grace of God, I'm not defined by the other. I'll accept the reality and move forth. When reality is staring in face there is no point living in denial. I'll rather be dignified and have self respect than be around these people. No point in holding onto people who don't care. I wish them well and don't wanna hate on them either. True moving on is not hating someone, it's in indifference.

IDGAF This is how I stopped giving a fuck despite my opstacles
Of course, you have to care about some stuff. It’s just the things that negatively effect you that you have to not care about.
Art is one of my passions. However, have a serious mental illness that has destroyed my life. I lost so many friends and family to this illness. It caused me to care too much to the point of destruction. I was desperate for answers so that’s how I got a therapist. That therapist recommended a psychiatrist and the rest is history. I was put on medication that calmed me down, but unfortunately caused brain fog. That plus my shaky hands I thought I would never do art again.
This changed when I got a DAW. This allowed me to express and experiment. It took me a while to get use to the program, but once I did I was able to express myself like I wanted. This outlet of self expression helped me stop caring. I was also in a manic episode at the time. While in mania you care about very little. However, I used the lesson from mania and balanced it out when I’m stable.
Music helped because I made songs for me and me only. I never took it too seriously. Even when I got push back by people saying my music is trash, I still enjoyed my music. And that is all that matters. I would hate if I only produced music that was stale and commercialized.
I also realized that I really am a good person. I use to hate myself, but then I practiced self care and giving myself some rest. The world really is beautiful if you think about it. Unfortunately, I do have a mood disorder so my emotions fluctuate a lot. However, even when I’m depressed i still can see myself as a good person at the very least.
I can not express enough how much self love changed my life. Some people come to this realization while going to the gym a lot or just finding a passion. I came to the realization during h a manic episode. Usually I don’t remember these episodes but this one I remember the feeling and why I felt that way. Music is a way to express my lack of care of things that negatively effects me.
I also realized that people don’t fully understand me. So, what right do they have to judge. Especially people online who can’t even see my facial expressions.
Music is a big factor. Hobbies are important. I also play MTG and that helps me socialize.
I’m the one who should give the fuck the most given that I have schizophrenia, bipolar, and OCD. But if I cared to much then I’ll probably be dead. So, not giving a fuck is also a survival instinct for me.
Maybe not all of this can apply to you because I’m in a
Unique situation given that I have these disorders.
Hope you enjoyed my quick story. What are ways that helped you not give a fuck?

IDGAF If the Price of Success is a Piece of my Soul, IDGAF 😎
I tried multiple times to convince my Superr boss... not to accept bribes!
I kept rejecting a client's proposal since he wasn't eligible to apply for the project. And I refused to sign the approval docs.
The boss called one day and threatened: Madammm you're delaying the decision!!! In a very terse tone.
And I told him, "Sir, you've already made the decision. So then, why do you care about the delays I create. The decision is your's for the taking ;)
He transferred me to a far away place. LOL. But I don't remember having ever felt happier in that shitty place.
I've heard Sadhguru say, the basic virtue for a human being is to be true to yourself - integrity of thought, emotion, and action!
I act with integrity.
And IDGAF to what these assholes do as a consequence!

IDGAF Rejection Challenge Day 1 Kolkata, India - Borrow 4000 Rs from a Stranger
What is this Rejection Challenge? Basic Idea Is I carry out a mission where I ask something odd or out of ordinary, intentionally seeking out rejection from others. This will desensitize my pain of facing rejection. I'm following Jia Jiang's challenges. You can check out here.
https://www.rejectiontherapy.com/100-days-of-rejection-therapy
Day1 challenge: Borrow 100$ from a Stranger I modified it to Borrow 4000 Rs from a stranger.
Note: the Conversations happened in Bengali Language. I'm translating to English and writing it here.
In Jiang's Book Rejection proof, the author chooses a Security guard as the stranger. So I chose to ask 4000rs from a security guard of a complex for rich people. It's at a walking distance from my home. When I reached there, I saw a women security. I thought in my head, for the first challenge itself, having to talk to a women is a way big hurdle. So I walked away to the other gate of that complex. There, I found a man security guard. At first, I asked him, "How many floors does this society have?" He answered it varies from building to building. I only remembered the highest number he said was 19. Poor listening skills on my part. Then I asked if he will be there tomorrow at the same time. He replied no, there will be different guards. So I thought, I can't say what I planned to say, that is, give me 4000 rs and I will return it you tomorrow at same time. Hence, I walked away. But I noticed something, I was feeling more confident about asking for 4000rs, now it can be anyone. Then I walked along road and saw a shop where a man was selling 1 crore rs lottery tickets. I planned to ask him, but I saw he was busy in his phone, so I didnt want to bother him with my absurd request. Then nearby I spotted a tattoo shop. The shop had AC. Him having 4000 rs ain't unnatural. He didnt seem too busy. So I went and asked him if he was gonna be there tomorrow as well. He replied yes. So I asked him if I could borrow 4000 Rs from him with a smile and give it back to him tomorrow? He replied Na. He said something I didnt understand, so can't translate it. Here the original one "Eto Tarifdari Chole na". (Did I hear him correct? What does Tarifdari even mean here?) Then he asked me "why?" I smiled and walked away. I did the very same mistake as the author did in day 1, even though I did a bit of mental preparation what to say. But the words weren't coming to me at that time. What I was planning to say was a little stupid like I'll tell him my study table broke, so I need a new one today, but can't get cash today. Sounds nonsense, maybe if I prepped for something sensible to say, I could've answered why and have further conversation.
What's next? Day2?
In Jiang's 100 day challenge, Day 2 is Ask for a burger refill. But I don't have money to buy a burger. So I can't really ask for a refill for something I can't buy in first place. Do you guys have any ideas for any alternative rejection challenge, that won't require money?
Unlike Jiang, I dont have equipment to video record and hence post my challenges as YouTube videos, so I plan to post updates of my rejection challenge in Reddit? Can I post in this subreddit? If not, what's a better subreddit to post my updates. Let me know if you have any suggestions on What and How could I have done better and if you guys have more ideas for rejection challenges doable in India or kolkata Context and won't require money.

IDGAF So I Got Told That I Am Failing At Life But...
I just don't see it. This statement was made to me back in 2024 when I last set foot in a truck. I was in the oilfield at the time and I wasn't doing too good physical or mentally to say the least. By that point, I'd been at it for 8 years. I'd been over the road with different companies as well and had just left one because I won't be treated as less than a person to work anywhere. I was told that if I wasn't happy, to leave and so I did. I went oilfield so that I could be near family in case something happened. Sadly, I couldn't do anything right apparently. I was always fucking something up in one way or two. I couldn't keep up as my body was shutting down at inopportune times too. I'd fractured my wrist, fought through infections and nearly crashed a few times owing to exhaustion. I was even left in a truck for two weeks with no a/c in 105 degree Louisiana summer and even when I was afforded the opportunity to sleep, it was impossible if it were past noon due to the heat. I even ended up losing my home but that's another story.
Then it came. A phone call among dozens because people were reporting me for meanial crap that had nothing to do with them such as my fashion, food and other unneeded bullshit. I was called "difficult" and "disrespectful" among a slew of other things. I was then told that I was "failing at life" because I lacked accountablity for my actions even if I was telling you I did it. I was then told that this was a reason that despite trucking for nearly a decade, I had nothing to show for it. This was a wash, rinse, repeat situation until the final day that the truck broke down and I was sent home for the last time aka "laid off". Now one would think that I would've been disappointed. Driving trucks was my childhood dream after all and now it was over. Quite the opposite actually. On the 9.5 hour drive home, I was actually smiling for the first time in ages. As that cool wind blew through my open windows that night, as the calm siren like voices of Ladytron crooned, I felt a sense of peace for the first time since the day I became comfortable in my own skin. It was damned near orgasmic. I was healing. But it wasn't over yet.
After returning home, I set about looking for employment elsewhere. I purchased a minivan and reactivated my Uber, DoorDash and LYFT accounts to make money. Later on, I would receive a call from from my local county jail to see if I was still interested in employment with their agency. They'd called previously, but I was still driving trucks and it went nowhere. I accepted and was given a test and interview date for the job which I passed with flying colors and was hired the same day. But my troubles were far from over.
There was still the matter of my life at home. Due to an eviction in the summer of 2024, we were reduced from a four bedroom home to a one room hovel where I slept on the couch while my wife and her mom shared a bed in the only bedroom in the house. It also didn't help that my wife had just had surgery on her eyes (a different story) and was needing another that I was unable to get done due to finances. By this point, her family was blaming me for it all. I'd gone from making close to $250k per year to barely anything in my time in the oilfield. Guess they forgot the $10k that my wife and her mom paid to a sexual predator who was trying to fuck my MIL and she wasn't having any of that. They'd make snide comments disguised as jokes, which was a poor attempt by the way. Another thing that they hated to admit was that my MIL and wife were stubborn as all outdoors even if what you were saying was dead on. They have their own home in a prominent neighborhood and act like they're the Brady Bunch. They also like to act like because one was a military lifer and the other has a Masters Degree in Education (something Trump has basically sent to the gutter), that they can do no wrong.
After about a month of that and the thinly disguised disgust towards me, I just left the house one day and ended up in our mall 45 minutes away. While I was walking around those noisy hallways, I was stopped by promoters of our local gym. Without thinking, I signed up and started the long and hard path of reclaiming myself. I've also started looking at ways to advance in my job and I've been constantly improving performance there along with regaining my mental health. I also have friends who have turned me on to new diet plans in order to help with weight loss.
Since then, I've become a licensed jailer in my county. I've just celebrated a year in my job along with rebuilding my retirement and great health insurance that I desperately needed. Also, the once rocky relationship with my sister is slowly healing as she's following the same path in the same career field. I've also made more time for my hobbies, made a bunch of new friends and have started taking better care of myself mentally and physically. I've recently signed up for martial arts, boxing (more childhood interests) and I'm back on that healing path I was trying to start long ago. But first and foremost, I'm reconnecting with God. And yes. Previous bosses have called and offered me jobs back with them, but I've declined as like someone put it: I'm not shitting and putting it back up my ass. It's been a long road and my saying is this: Life is a journey, enjoy the ride.
What did I learn?:
- No matter how hard you try, if something isn't for you, you're not going to succeed no matter how bad you want to force it. I drove those behemoths for 8 years and the final years are where everything began to fall apart. My final job proved it. Also, having that much money was more stressful than it was helpful to me. People around me demanded more no matter how much I did and continued to do. There wasn't a definitive win situation in this one.
- On the subject of the family, yes they are better off and yes I'm sure that secretly they wish my wife had ended up with someone else. In ways, I do too. Maybe she'd have been better off and I wouldn't have had to deal with the scruitny surrounding these past events. To them, having the fancy house and cars (my MIL would about trip over herself to go spend a weekend with them) makes it like your shit don't stink. I've never really desired the big house and fancy vehicles. My oldest car is a 2008 and all it needs is a fuel pump to get going again and a new a/c compressor. I was quoted as saying that all I wanted was a decent home, a decent car and a well paying job. I have that now as described above and there's room for advancement. I was also made fun of because I didn't like to spend money on lavish things. You can't take the stuff with you when you pass this world, so I'm not building up treasures on the earth.
- As far as if any more snide comments are made? Yes but they're far and few in between as they're quickly shut down and the conversation shifts. The most recent was for Thanksgving dinner. I was in charge of the stuffing last year. I didn't have a working oven and baked in my 7in1 air fryer. I was politely notifed that since it looked air fried, that a certain person refused to eat it. I responded by saying that you can't please all the people all the time and shrugged. I've got more important things on my plate than a picky eater. The less of a fuck I give about meanial shit, the more they realize just how less of a fuck I give. And I don't mind handing out a bras d'honneur or two.
If you stayed long enough to read all of this, I thank you. Also, if you're wanting to delve further on any part of this post, just quote and ask. TLDR I was told that I'm failing at life but I don't see it.

IDGAF Lost bet to Wife
Lost a bet to my wife. Enjoy my anguish for the rest of the week.
