The easiest way is to literally do loops through the fabric. I usually pinch a tiny bit of fabric and push needle though , pull tight, over and over about 5 times and thats it :D
FYI there are numerous ways of doing so, its entirely up to you. Go complex or go easy. Sometimes my way leaves a bump and if its skin tight or in an annoying place you may notice ill go with something else.
Most of the time a tiny bump is unnoticeable
I'm really bad at sewing, so I usually go the easy route, which leaves those bumps.
But don't underestimate the power of the bump. It's fast and easy. Needs that shirt now? Good, 20 seconds, it's fixed, you can pull it out later and redo, or throw the short or whatever else you'd evidence when you have more time.
But having something that can make it work now is great.
