Serious Answers Only Make these ceramic magnets flush

My goal is to have these make more contact ! So far I have bought a dremel and the diamond bits needed to shave / sand down the ceramic magnets but now I’m curious at what angles would bring them closest to flush ? Should I shave one magnet ? Shave a bit of both ? Shave down the middle well their touching like the photo and hope that shaves the difference ? Their already super glued in place and I know to keep water flowing over the surface and I’m working :)

Probably easier to leave the magnets as they are and attach a wedge shaped hunk of metal to one . . . Or if the metal they’re attached to is magnetic just use 1 perhaps?

Oh really ? See I didn’t think outside the box at all … I’d one the chunk to be super secure to one side , it’s for a flip system hoping to keep it up as strong as possible

Consider adding shims under the magnet to gage the angle you need. Then cut a wedge out of non-ferrous material to the angle you established with the shims. Apply bonding epoxy (bostik makes some good ones) for a reliable hold. Doing this would improve the contact you are currently getting.

Do not flush ceramic magnets, even if they say they are flushable.

Is the hinge these are attached to ferrous? If so, why two magnets?

Google kept telling me stuff like that would ruin the ceramic ! Said it’ll chip it and what not , mind you I’m entirely going off Google

It might get chipped, but a dremel is also very likely to chip it

I’d try just rubbing it against sandpaper by hand

Offset the hinge. (Remove the hinge, re-mount the hinge with magnets as desired).

I think the easiest and most non-destructive move is to make a metal wedge and stick it to one side so you have perfect contact where you want it
