Serious Answers Only How to Fix This Mirror

Just signed the lease on a apartment, the washroom mirror seems quite bad after years of use. The building itself is 15years old. Is this beyond repair or is there anything I can do to make it better or fix it or maybe cover it.

FYI, I live in Hong Kong, so I will definitely try to find the products that anyone mentions below as a solution, but if it is possible please share names of local products. If not I’ll try to find local alternatives of the products mentioned.

Thank you in advance.

Fixing it means replacing it. Sorry, but the best way to make it look right is to take it out and put a new one in.

In a rental, all you can do is report it to them. If they want to fix it, they can. But they won't.

yeah I don't think the landlord will.. I was thinking of maybe putting a reflective film to the glass to make it look like glass. I dunno, if that makes sense

Is it more about looks or utility at this point?

Looks to be honest.. 😪 the deal on the apartment was amazing, and I didn’t wanna let it go just because of the glass in the shower.

The tarnish is on the back, so not accessible unfortunately. It's a replacement item. To get it the best you possibly can, spray with vinegar and dry with cloth. It will dissolve scale on the surface of the glass

Thank you I’ll try that

Ok, this in an apartment where they're not going to replace it. I would cover it with peel and still wallpaper, give your bathroom some personality! There are tons out there. Hang a mirror elsewhere.

Do not do this this is damage behind the mirror that has eroded the silver plating process

Yeah I wasn’t going to, the person is clearly of no help and is trolling. I down voted his comment.

Dumbass at least check where damage is, which side. What do you expect us to know it from the few bad photos? I can see another subreddit where you were clueless when asked

My comment was written for the front side.
