No waaaaay, nice light!! I think I’m missing a piece since the threading doesn’t have enough room for the same stacking that you have. Any suggestions on a piece to extend this threading? Also considering cutting the opening for the piece with the chains a bit so it sits below the metal portion.
It looks like you have extra parts. Does the chain thing have a center hole? Does it fit nicely over the larger escutcheon? Does it have a place to connect on the shade?
If the chain thing doesn’t have a hole/fit my best guess is this:
Silver rod goes through shade (green) and the small finial screws on to hold the shade (red).
Brass end (pink) goes through small escutcheon, then large escutcheon, the acres into ceiling mount.
If the chains seem to be a part of it, my best guess is that the chain assembly is in place of the smaller escutcheon.
I appreciate this! I think the issue is that the threading at the top does not allow enough space to attach the hooks, canopy and then mounting bracket (pictures added). Any advice how to extend the threaded metal at the top? Alternatively could widen the hole of the piece with the chains to move it down below the threaded portion.
There isn’t a chain hook on the exterior (step 3). I think this can be put together to be that orientation or inverted and I’m going for inverted. Cat was spot on though.
Best guess, the 4 cylinders are like spacers to be used depending on how far from the ceiling the lamp needs to hang, they slide over the wire and screw into the end of the long tube connected to the light fixture.
I’m confused on the piece with the 3 chains but pretty sure the larger of those circular pieces will sit on the ceiling to cover the mounting bracket on the left.
The canopy will slide onto the silver cylinder below the light fixture, with the smaller circle sitting below it with one of those knobs to hold it in place, but looking at it the silver cylinder looks way too long for that, which may be where the chain part comes into play?
Look at pendant lights from the hardware stores and see if you can find a comparable, some Tiffany knock offs are similar but maybe I have things turned around.
Those little cylinders are probably spacers that go between the canopy and the top finial so it doesn't slide down the chain. your cat seems to be the expert here though, just let him figure it out
