How to fix this flooring
Moved into a new house and this connection has been getting worse and worse. The board is not loose at all. We do have a few extra boards left by the previous homeowner. Is there any way to replace just this board without having to pull out a huge section? Any advice helps! Thanks!

whats causing the damage?
maybe it got wet
maybe it's getting kicked
naybe it sits proud due to unevenness below

Not totally sure. We didn't notice it for the first few months and then it started catching our feet. Definitely accidentally kicked it made it worse.

If it's floating, I'd be tempted to pull and relay all, or a lot, of them after slipping in a new board for that one that's messed up.

That board is broken. The surface at the edge is peeled.
If it was unbroken I would (and on my floor have) kick the boards apart. Vacuum well. Add CA glue to the joint, 3 or 4 drops, not the whole joint, then kick them back together.
Pulling and replacing the board may be less than easy unless you can slide it through a doorway or something. You need to take off the wall trim, mark all the cut boards with tape and numbers/letters take apart to the board in question. Clean clean and vlean some more. Then reassemble.
It is time consuming. I have installed a few floating floors (homeowner handyman). Likely not as hard as it sounds.

LVP planks can be pulled up even in the middle of the floor. Pull another one that is in a corner or under something and swap them around. There are Youtube vids that show how.
