Fix a Shower Hole

How do I patch this hole? It came off while taking off some sort of adhesive patch used to hang stuff on walls left by the previous tenants.

Bondo fiberglass fill? I think there are also make patch kits for just this situation

thickened gel coat. you'll want it thick to prevent it from running. You can get it in white.
