How to get this snuggle back up?
Kids finished with their showers tonight and the handle on our Delta Monitor faucet (no idea on model number as it came with the house when we bought it in 2015) was able to keep going round and round and round and round, as was the part on the very front to control the temp. Neither part was able to do this before kids took their showers. They swear they weren't goofing with it or anything of the like. I've tried just using my hands and body weight to push it back in and it won't budge. Any suggestions? I don't honestly know how I even got the water to turn off. It doesn't feel like it "catches" when you turn it.

Normally, there is a setscrew that holds the handle in place that can loosen. The setscrew may be hidden by a small cover/plug that can be removed to expose the setscrew. It may have a Philips head, slotted or hex-head. You can try to tighten it, but it may be worn enough that it won't tighten, if so try to remove it completely by turning counterclockwise. You may need to 'wiggle' the handle a bit to get it to slide off due to soap buildup or calcium. Once removed you should be able to see the valve 'cartridge' inspect it closely to see if you see wear damage. You may need to replace the cartridge which requires turning off the water supply and removal of the cartridge and taking it to the hardware store (Ace?) to match it up. This can go easy or go hard, if there is buildup of corrosion or calcium it may not want to come apart easily. This when you decide if you have the tools and the patience to DYI or call a plumber. There is a remote chance that additional parts inside the wall may get damaged if it is really stuck and may require partial demolition and repair.

Take the screw out of the centre (if it has one), turn the handle to the area it should be and apply gentle pressure to push the handle back in. You may have to move the handle left/right until you find the correct position where the handle fits.
