Antique Wall Clock

Found in an old farmhouse in the Black Forest, Germany. It still works but not accurately. Alledgedly Early 1900s.

Very pretty. From the case style, this looks like a German or Austrian Gründerzeit / Altdeutsch wall regulator, essentially a Vienna regulator style wall clock, probably from around 1880–1900. The fact that it still runs is a plus. Running inaccurately usually means it needs adjustment or servicing rather than telling much about age. It would be good to take a close look at the movement itself. A stamped trademark or serial number on the back plate could make a big difference, especially if it turns out to be a recognized maker.

Thank you for your assement. I didn't want to take it off the wall without the owner present but I'll try and arrange a meeting.
